We stayed here at the weekend to test out our caravan, and will be back! It is a lovely and quiet peaceful space, our child loved riding around on his bike and we walked along the Meon Valley Trail, village shop is also very cute and handy for ice cream. Great hidden gem for a quick and peaceful getaway. Thank you Buffy :-Rooms: 5/5
We stayed here in our camper. It is a lovely site, accessed through an old railway bridge. Lots of space between the pitches. There is an old disused railway line right next to the site, which provides easy walks and biking into some beautiful countryside. A great place to start a walk from, I recommend a walk up old Winchester hill....a great view at the top. No toilets but chemical disposal point. Water and rubbish bins. A 6 minute walk to the local pub The Thomas Lord.....a lovely pub. A nice quiet site ,lots of wildlife and great countryside. We shall go again.
Beautiful quiet location set in rolling countryside. If you want a place to stay at in your campervan to get away from it all, this is the place to stay! Buffy, the lady that runs it is very helpful. This is the third time that my son and I have stayed here and it never fails to disappoint. Will definitely be coming back again!Service: 5/5
Staying here with our New Forest caravan rally club. Disappointingly the land owner has allowed other non-members to use the field restricting our space. Probably won't come back.Service: 1/5
As a lone female traveller with a french bulldog for company I absolutely love this campsite and feel totally safe. The small village is a lovely scenic stroll away. Highly recommend this place if you want back to basic camping and tranquility.
Beautiful, secluded spot. You could be a million miles from anywhere. Rooms: Luxury linen under canvas. Brilliant! Nearby activities: Walk to the local village with pub and shop. Lovely walks on the South Downs, particularly up to Old Winchester Hill Walkability: Level old railway line to the village or up a reasonably steep hill to Winchester Hill
Very nice campsite, great surroundings. Only running water and toiletdumping available but the price is according. Would definitely recommend if you want tranquility and nature. Bring decent stabilisers for your motorhome, the whole site is sloping rather much. Buffy: sorry about the 4 stars and no words first, I was reviewing many sites and got mixed up with another site
Lovely little basic campsite near the village of West Meon. Reasonably level site but you will need leveling chocks, about 6 inches would do the trick on most pitches. Generously sized pitches, find your own on arrival, not pre allocated. Water and waste facilities only. Nice friendly owners, gave us some information about facilities in the local area. Easy access to the west Meon trail from the site, this can be used to walk to west Meon down footpaths avoiding the road, takes less than 10 mins. Local shop is well worth checking out as well as the pu, decent food and a nice atmosphere.
Really peaceful and relaxing site, small site for about a dozen or so vans with water and chemical disposal as well as waste bins. Rather narrow and bumpy road into the site and hope you don’t meet another unit coming towards you as someone will need to reverse. Happy with the size of the pitch and what’s available Location: 4/5
Lovely, back to nature site. You need your own facilities. Next To Meon Valley Trail, an old disused railway line. Great walks and views. Good to Cycle along Meon Valley Trail. Walk into village pub without going on main road. Very pleasant owner who collects site fees and welcomes new arrivals. We will be back.
