Really well kept and beautiful park with excellent landscaping. The flowers and plants were brilliant and it was nice seeing so many people enjoying themselves and relaxing in the park. The cafe and ice cream vans were nice additions as well. Playground: Superb outdoor water park area for kids to enjoy in the warmer weather directly next to the standard play equipment.
Lovely park with a cafe and 20p toilets, plenty for active people a skateboard park and tennis courts but also a place to sit and relax and let the world pass by
Lovely little park. Have different events. Recently went to the Christmas market. Park is ideal for wheel chairs, mobility scooters, prams. There are excellent toilet facilities. The cafe is a great place to relax have a bite to eat and watch the world go by.
Visited the Victorian Christmas Market at Hall Leys Park on 03/12/2022, wasn’t to busy as we went towards the end of the day, plenty of stalls with plenty of Christmas goodies, plenty of food stalls and some fair ground rides.
Great Park for all ages. Cafe brilliant lots of choice too. Skate board park for kids. Well attended Big lads helping younger ones was good to see. Nice walks around.
This is a brilliant place to bring my autistic son, he loves the park, train, the boats, icecream van and a good walk around discovering plenty of different birds and squirrels. All the staff that run the train and boats understand my son and they really make things easy for us. We also have to purchase some bird/duck food which is very cheap and we hand feed the ducks and pigeons. There's a brilliant little cafe who serve great food and drinks, the staff are very friendly and polite. I feel very safe taking my son here every day
Hall Leys is a smallish park with lots to do. The park has several “areas”, including toilets there is a charge plenty of benches scattered around the park, a cafe, a decorative garden which at the height of summer is really vibrant and full of colour. The park is also accessible for prams and wheelchair users. Ice cream trucks often occupy the area on warmer days, Some of its features include a skate park, tennis court, basketball court, a large plying field, a boules area, a couple of concrete table tennis tables, a small boat “lake” which can be hired during peak seasons, a miniature train ride up and back down the park which is suitable for very young children, and a park suitable for younger and older children, with a small water area which again is switched on in the peak seasons. From the back of the park there is a small woodland area with walks that go up to the fantastic views from Starkholmes and looking back over Matlock. There is no parking for Hall Leys, however there is limited parking nearby the park, and plenty of town centre parking with a short walk involved.
Lovely old fashioned Park with victorian bandstand, clock, bowling green, boating pond and miniature train. Playground: Excellent secure area for small children including paddling pool for summer months Restrooms: Public facilities next to the cafe
Nice Park, very quiet at night
