I was served by the most rude, unhelpful and incompetent lady who had the worst attitude I've ever experienced with customer services in my entire life. An absolute shambles, in terms of both the location and people working there.

Sorry to hear that customers had bad service but for myself I've nothing but good things to say about the staff who work there and very hard at that. Admittedly sometimes there's only two (if not one) staff at the tills but there are automated machines that can do some of the easier tasks for you. Sadly it is true the new building is not well suited to the needs, queues are always long and the place is very crammed and can be stuffy when it's warm. Neither has the charm and convenience of the old place but I guess the times, they are changing. 5* for service but can't rate it higher due to the building letting it down.

Closed now. Shame as new post office in W H Smith is at bottom end of town.

Really horrible customer service got served by a lady who had the most horrible attitude!! Wasnt helpful and very rude!! Perfered the old post office better instead of moving to whsmith!!

Opening hours are not displayed in or outside the new location of WH Smiths. Incorrect opening hours were displayed online for new year opening. I asked post office employee about this over a fornight ago. He advised me that if I wanted to know their opening hours, that I should walk up to the old post office where the hours are displayed outside of that building. He was called Billy and would not discuss this any further saying " I'm busy, if you want to leave feedback speak to management". I spoke to the manager who was friendly, polite and apologetic for the way his assistant had spoke to me. However over a fortnight after speaking to the manager, the opening hours of the post office within WH Smith are STILL NOT DISPLAYED INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE NEW LOCATION. WH SMITH display their own opening times in the window. Clearly the post office in Halifax couldn't care less about their customers. I suppose displaying their opening hours might costitute extra duties which would require union involvement and possible strike action!!!! A total disgrace, which sadly is exactly what the public expect from this organisation.
