It is a very authentic bar restaurant. We were on holidays on Christmas and we liked this restaurant very much. They have so great choise of beers and fish abd chips were the best we have ever tried in Ireland. Besides the ambience was very good decorated and the service was great. I would highly recommend it.
Halfway house from my understanding is popular for its carvery. We decided to go on Sunday in the afternoon to get some carvery and i can say it did not disappoint. Everything in the carvery was delicious and the portions were very good. There choose from turkey , beef and bacon for carvery and lots of veggies with other sides. I think the price is reasonable. The location is not bad but if it’s. busy day you might have to wait for some parking if you are coming with a car. From the looks of it the place has many seats inside and outside. If the weather is lovely then sitting outside is a vibe. I would recommend coming here for some carvery 100% ! We enjoyed it a lot
Visited for Sunday breakfast and stayed for carvery. The breakfast menu is small but mighty : the pancakes were good but would skip the bap. The carvery was very nice - would recommend to book a table after 13:00 since it got busy.overall nice pub with welcoming service and decent food! Would be back for a pint
Was here for a weekday lunch. Was a simple carvery menu done cafe style. Queue up for carvery, pick your drinks, pay and sit for lunch. Gets packed around 1pm weekday.nnI had bacon, portion was just right for me. Hot meal on a cold day, very good roast potatoes. Service is fast. I saw some people also eating sandwiches so I suppose they have more than carvery for lunch.
Nice food and well sized portions. Big place but it felt cosy and had a good atmosphere. Tight spaces for parking though. Not the most wheel chair or kids pram accessible place like many other venues. Never checked the bathrooms for cleanliness. Staff serving carvery and at the till were nice and friendly, waiters and waitresses were a bit moody but overall an ok experience.
