2nd August 22 . Not good sadly it's not even one star. My chain snapped on my bike the other side of Camborne. Through my naivety as a cyclist I didn't know how to repair them and didn't have a necessary tool to do so. So I googled bike shops. I was relieved when I saw there was a Halfords and I knew they would be able to mend it or replace it it quickly. I looked for a phone number for the shop to see if they could do it but I couldn't find one online which is hopeless. So I walked 2 1/2 miles pushing my bike to the shop which took one hour. I explained my dilemma on arrival that I was 12 miles from my camp site and could they help. "No" was the answer, come back tomorrow. Which clearly shows not one ounce of attention was paid to my problem of being so far away staying on a camp site. I was fobbed off with something like one-man repairs the bikes one man has to man the till . The shop was empty ! ! And this is about 5p.m.. I told him well I will have to get a taxi. Which got no response. So I left and I will never return after that ! And the sad thing is the following day a pensioner repaired my bike on the campsite and it took him 6 minutes. Clearly 6 minutes is too much to ask. If I were you I'd look elsewhere as I will be doing from now on .
The booking procedure is very slick, however, on arriving i find i'm not expected and they say it can't be done that day. Brilliantly the technicians took pity and sorted it out anyway. They are clearly understaffed, and the system is working properly. This happens every time. All credit to the team who are under pressure but still provide great service.
After suffering a flat battery over a few days dropped into Cambourne hoping to get a replacement fitted. In very little time battery was fitted in my car and on the road again. Fast and efficient. Price wise, battery was more expensive than online but to be fair that’s not unreasonable. Fitting at £25 including resetting BMS seems very reasonable.
Had my mot done there , very friendly and helpful , easy to book online and no fuss , will definitely be using them again next time .
New battery sourced from stock and fitted / coded in a fast efficient manner , great service !
The staff are always friendly and helpful. The folding ebike I went to look at wasn't there but staff member took lots of time to demonstrate the one they had.
Visited the store to purchase a balance bike and a helmet for my daughter and I must say how lovely the person was who served us. I didn't manage to get his name but he was on the upstairs till 2/1/22 roughly 3pm and he was really friendly, polite and knowledgeable - a credit to the store! Definitely deserves some recognition. As for the bike I was really impressed with the selection of bikes and helmets and the bike was really easy to assemble.
Top service from Craig, price matched my brakes saving almost 75%. Legend.
My Mum and myself visited the store last week to get a headlight bulb fitted. All members of staff were friendly but James who fitted the bulb was particularly helpful, interested in us as customers and quick and efficient. We were extremely grateful for his assistance.
Helpful and friendly, knowledgeable staff and usually a very short wait for service. A reliable and efficient service. Swift fitting of headlamp bulb - so glad i opted for the fitting as it isn't an easy job at all for one such as me with very limited mechanical know-how.
