Nipped in for a quick purchase, store was incredibly bright clean and tidy, very well stocked and the ipads at the car care section are excellent for providing quick information regarding oil, batteries etc just by entering your reg. However I was most impressed by Sean who rang through my purchase, friendly and very informative giving me the best deals for my purchase. A real asset to the Dumfries store!
First class experience in diagnosing and replacing a rear disc brake. I was kept up to date at all times and would thoroughly recommend having any work done by the team at Halfords.
Was running low on gas for camping stove and was anxious about it not being available to me. I was So pleased Dumfries Halfords had it in stock at a competitive price. The staff member who served me helped me carry them to the car.
I was really impatient by the quality and knowledge of the technician Ian, how repaired my e-bike. On receipt of my bike I was impressed with the performance of the bike. I will certainly call Agni and have the bike fully serviced. An excellent job by Halfords.
Halfords Webstore and Call CentrennI have tried to place an order on your website this afternoon Sat 06/02/26, resulting in a transaction showing on my bank account but a failed order on the website. Having tried to place the order again using PayPal and a transaction showing £0.00, I travelled to my local store and spoke with staff. I was given a telephone number for the call centre and my Halfords experience went further downhill. After spending 20 minutes on the call with a call handler struggling to understand me and being give the excuse that “the supervisor is in a meeting”, I eventually spoke with someone who again did not fill me with confidence. This person tried to tell me that my issue was with my bank and PayPal, although I have no issues making purchases with other suppliers.nHaving previous issues with glitches, I will no longer be using your webstore.nThe whole experience of a problematic webstore and an offshore call centre, does not paint a glowing picture of Halfords.nHopefully the failed transaction from Halfords is not taken from my account; the response from the call centre staff was not one that filled me with confidence.nOn a plus, the staff on duty in the Dumfries store Saturday afternoon were a polar opposite, very pleasant and helpful.nI look forward to receiving a response from Halfords shortly.nnPS: Email addresses for Customer Service are not in use - hence the Google Review as requested.
