I would 100% recommend this store. Met three staff here and they were all wonderful. Pat was a superb customer care advisor and Adam, the manager was also great. A special shout to Danny the bike mechanic who I had a fantastic chat with whilst he was sorting out my order. They all went well over the expected level of service one could expect. Bought a bike online and went to pick up to be advised that it wasn't in stock but they had a show bike and would provide discount on it. The discount was very good and they threw in some accessories. Danny/Adam spent a while trying to source me a bike helmet that would fit my massive cranium, and when they couldn't they showed me the website of their sister company that had some in stock, and then made up my order with another accessory with extra value! I was very happy. Thankyou very much for this wonderful customer experience. See you soon.
Many thanks to Joe at this branch for helping me with a battery issue and taking it to my van… I’ve got a bad back so couldn’t lift it. He did very well explaing some technical details about batteries. Senior management take note, this is a good employee who deserves recognition and progression – give him the opportunities in the company that he deserves.
Sadly Halfords never fail to disappoint. This service took 17 days & 3 extra phone calls to get the job done. Technician on holiday, need to order a brake bleed kit because the store one was broken/lost & a backlog of work were the reasons given. The brakes still feel very spongy & on the job sheet it says "bleed front & rear brakes" - N/A!? Halfords are unable to book a bike in for a specific date & get the job done unlike their car service centre. The Halfords business model does not work for servicing or repairing bikes, probably due to lack of trained/qualified staff. I was going to renew my bike service package but have decided against it - too many disappointments & I cannot be without a bike for 10 or 17 days.
I dont usually leave bad reviews, but I am going to do now to help others avoid the bad or lack of service we had there. We needed a special part to get our car pass MOT, and we had ordered it a week in advance and they assured as it will arrive in a week’s time. We got there in a week’s time and the part was nowhere to be seen, and they told us first they did not get the part at all, later that the supplier sent the wrong part and you can imagine.. they told us we need to wait another week bear in mind its Xmas period. All this time we could not use our car, and we had to rent a car to go to our jobs public transportation strikes ongoing and our jobs are an hour away On top of that the price they quoted us was already a few hundred pounds. So we get the car from them and we find another garage south of leeds, we get the car there next day, and the mechanic not only found the part, but fitted it, MOTed our car in a matter of 3 hours! And in a fraction of the price!
Serviced and repaired my bmw 116d. Worked on my car promptly able to collect it at end of the day. Gave me advice regarding new breaks and tyres. Seem like a good friendly bunch too. Thank You
I was looked after by a amazing lady called pat . Pat couldn't of done anymore . She made the purchase easy she served me with a loving smile . I felt she was more of a Auntie pat . Amazing woman . A credit to halfords .
Arranged to drop bike off for first check since buying the bike. Picked up next day no hassle also gave the bike a quick wipe over.
Had an appointment for someone to fit new booster seat, arrived on time only to be told no person in store trained, can I come back in an hour. Absolute joke, manager stated they are not told what time customers appointment are, sorry Halfords, absolutely no consideration for customers, you need to communicate with each other. Please contact me.
Worst customer service ever. No eye contact. No greetings just asked email address for billing purpose. No response when requested for receipt. Just carried away talking on wireless. His manager should atleast train this person how to greet a customer.
I went into this branch, to get Bosch wipers for my Audi, and was assisted by Steve, Adam and Anna Steve was an absolute gem in helping me choose the right equipment for my car. He showed me all the options and suggested me the best ones, I wasn’t sure if it was gonna work with my car, so Steve offered me to return the product on the spot with no hassle, but luckily due to Steve’s knowledge, the product was more than satisfactory. He really does know his stuff and you’ll be in safe hands getting advice off him. What an experience has it been..
