If I could omit the 1 star and leave a negative rating, I would. Absolutely terrible customer service. I approached the cycling department in distress after suffering a semi snapped chain. I was advised by the mechanic on duty to wait 4 hours till “Ben” came in at 2pm, at which point he may or may not have time to look at my bike. I was only seeking the removal of a chain link, which would have taken even the most inexperienced Halfords mechanic 30 seconds. Instead I was forced to purchase a chain removal tool. And then improvise thereafter, with no experience, to resolve my own problems.While the said staff member verbally abused his own co-workers for their lack of commitment. As a world traveller, I have never experienced such a poor level of customer service ever before, in any country. I left the store with a sour taste and I will certainly never buy anything from Halfords ever again.

Charged £13 to replace inner tube on back wheel of bike. Ten minutes after leaving shop the tyre was flat and hanging off bike. Did anyone actually check to see if anything stuck in tyre?! Ruined a lovely evening. Next time I’ll ask 6 year old to do it!

Just had my headlight changed by a charming, patient, good natured man from Halfords. I had to pay of course, but he was done in minutes, on a cold dark Scottish November night. I could have done it myself if I didn’t mind spending a long time getting cold and hurting my fingers. Well done Halfords man!

The guys in the cycle dept were brilliant today. We have a wee ride for our daughter and they allowed us to try it out and a new Pendleton bike before we bought the bike. Thankyou guys
