Really enjoyed the Full MontynThe kids' food was plain mash potatoes were dry and tasted like they were instant. They ordered chocolate and strawberry milk, which came boxed.nThe chips were excellent!nWas a bit confusing coming in for the first time, as we didn't know to say ourselves... and the waitress took a minute to even acknowledge us. When she finally did, she told us we could order by using the app, or some to the counter and place or order.nnOverall, it was well priced, we were happy with our meal, but the service could have been better... additionally, coming in on Monday, where it is advertised that kids eat for £1, it would have been nice if the waitress told us that's only when ordering specific food from the regular menu.nn3 kids meals and one adult entree with a pitcher of lemonade ran us £40. Not bad.
This is a Hungry Horse chain pub. I did however, have a pleasant meal here.nMe and a mate were here for Cobra Warrior 2024. We were staying locally and the host recommended the Half Moon. My mate was paying and we selected two meals off the £6 menu. With drinks added it came to just under £20. Considering the price of the food, it was surprisingly good. I had fish, chips and beans and really enjoyed it. Fish was very nice too. The chips were a bit of a weak link. A mix of fries and thick chunky ones, they could have been warmer and a bit fresher. Apart from that, all was well. Value food that was good value.
I had travelled a long way to get to Mildenhall and didn't want to fight with the mainstream mob at McDonald's. So I visited this pub nearby. I wanted proper food, proper seating, proper service, and good parking. This place has all that. The bar serves a wide range to satisfy weary travellers like me, and the menus were on the tables for convenience. Laid out clearly it was easy to choose and order. I didn't wait very long for my food either. It was well cooked and a good portion. It tasted great and satisfied my appetite well. The atmosphere was really pleasant. A side room had a large tv for a sports game, football I believe. Children were well mannered. The music wasn't too loud nor too quiet. So my companion and I could talk perfectly well.nnEverything met and exceeded my expectations. I would gladly recommend the Half Moon to my family and friends alike. Thank you for looking after me so well.nnOur bill, including drinks, was just over £24 and we felt like that was good value for what we received.
Most dishes ok, don't think anything is made from scratch but still edible. I do not recommend the Sunday roast, potatoes are 'Aunt bessie' style & veg too hard. They also don't supply accompanying sauces like cranberry, apple sauce, horseradish etc, although menu states they do!nStaff are always friendly
I come here regularly with my husband and 3 children. Service from the girls is always 5*’s!nnToday’s meal was lovely, food is priced great and super yummy! I recommend having starter nachos as they’re cooked fresh and made with proper tortillas which is bonus!nnLisha, Nina and Heather served us today, absolutely lovely ladies, thank you to all the staff for everything you do to provide us with an amazing place to have a meal!
