Fantastic lunch there. Fish and chips 2 meals for £10. Excellent value and cooked to perfection. Staff attentive and cheerful. It's really improved since the refurbishment.Food: 5/5
Prebooked for birthday meal - party of 15. All meals were lovely, well cooked and fresh, all staff were lovely and polite, really helpful and accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was lots of variety. Really enjoyable occasion - thanks!
Just had a lovely meal for 4 at table 6 The burgers were lovely and so was the sizzler . We also had the waffles and sticky toffee pudding . Served quickly, hot and staff friendly . Not eaten here for many years but would certainly visit again . Parking: Thought there would have been more parking spaces especially as I can imagine it very busy in summer .

Rang you to be told to come down don’t need to book as only wanted a table for to. Got there to be told by the most rude arrogant member off stay in my life that it’s ‘tough’ there is no tables available when I’ve come all that way with a 8 month old baby. The way she spoke to us was disgusting considering we were returning customers. This lady acted like she owned the place when she wasn’t even management. I will be taking this further with a formal complaint she needs to be sacked speaking to paying customers like that. Avoid at all costs
Went last Sunday Lunch - 5 adults - food was piping hot and very tasty. Blokes happy with their favourite John Smiths. Back this week for definite
Who ever is saying the food is good here, there is someone wrong with their palette !! My 8 year old grandson couldn’t even bite into the so called simple chicken burger ! It was over cooked, hard, actually inedible. Waited over an hour for just that. Requested my money back. Only two staff on. Couldn’t even crack a smile, who blames them when over worked and under paid. Won’t be going again. Need to think about staffing levels when there are events on TV!!!
As we didn't know the area we chose this place as it seemed convenient and very reasonably priced. The man serving at the bar was very good and friendly and could handle how busy it was getting. The place is very dated and could do with a refurb but the food was nice. Unfortunately one of the waiting staff had the loudest mouth and was talking to a group at another table and it just became ridiculous, he was very unprofessional and my other half wanted to leave but as the table were leaving I convinced him to stay for dessert. The waitress was nice but when she dropped a fork with her hands full she kicked it all the way to the kitchen rather than coming back and picking it up. If you want a nice meal and don't mind this kind of environment then I would recommend but this isn't the place I would return to.
Very friendly pub, food very nice, served hot . Had a bit of a wait but not too bad. No longer serve Sunday lunch bit of a let down. Had no Strawberries to make Eaton mess, but had good alternatives, and apparently ran out of ice cream but served the children with ice lollies instead . Besides these little glitches we all had a lovely lunch and a great afternoon.
