Scam. Avoid at all costs. Don't trust this place, gentlemen makes small talk outside takes you into offer you a beer then leaves, barmaids ask for multiple drinks/shots with you. Receive the bill and each of their drinks is priced at 30euros each 10euros for a bottled beer so easily adds up. When presented with the bill, only then they show the menu and say the prices were there all along, you choose to buy it etc. By the time you read this, it'll probably be too late, but posting in solidarity
It's a scam. Don't go there! The elderly man started talking to me when I walked out from Acropolis. He claimed he's from Italy and is spending his holidays in Athens. Then he invited me for a drink and we went to this bar. Luckily I walked out this place as soon as we entered as it looked suspicious for me. If I stayed I would have to pay crazy money for the drink.
As the others have said, a complete scam. Looking at the other reviews it seems I got lucky with only paying 7 euro for a beer. Old man pretending that he owns a little bar and he'll buy me a drink. Shows me in, orders me a beer then disappears while a big group of women come up to me in a line and ask me to buy them a drink. I asked for the bill and left, thankfully I was allowed to leave.
SCAM! If you see anything more than a 1 star for this place.... it's a lie. Literally go anywhere else. First time this has happened to my group while in Europe... only needs to happen once and we have learned our lesson. Safe travels to you all!
I wish I had read up on this place. Went out to grab a smoke and charming old man who spoke Spanish told me he owns a place on corner and invited me to a drink.. “sure “ I said and once we walked in an I was presented with a beer , he disappeared and it all became apparent to me what had just happened, a woman approached me and asked for a shot, declined and downed my beer, thank god I had my cc in my pocket being as that I just stepped out my non smoking hotel room. Was just 10 euros but could have been more expensive. It seems most of us comment/ read about this after the fact. Live and learn..
Eur10 for a beer, Eur30 for a drink I was made to offer plus vat - had to pay Eur50! Stay away from this place. It's a scam!
A complete scam. I got lured in by a friendly old Greek guy - then they charge 30 euros a drink when you're in there for Ouzo.... Please do not go here.
Awful place I was trying to find my hotel when the man who worked there gave me directions but invited me in l. I didn’t understand what kind of place it was but when I got there the women behind the bar started filling them selves a glasses of wine and conned me into buying them drinks. Never go to this bar it’s a scam.
This place is a scam. They inflate their prices after you order drinks. DO NOT GO HERE
Conned into going here by a nice elderly dude on the street who promised undiluted uzo and good vibes. Uzo was expensive, but not as expensive as the girls at the bar demanding us to buy drinks for them while we noted the curtained stall in the corner. You probably won’t read this until after you’ve been dragged in but leaving the review for solidarity.
