I ordered 6 cones, with expected next day delivery. After 3 days I received no updates and rang up to pursue, as I needed the cones by the end of the week. It turned out the product was discontinued, and they only had 3 in stock. I asked when they were going to tell me this, and they confirmed they had no plan to tell me my order was on hold or could not be fulfilled. Neither were they prepared to compromise on pricing on an alternative item to meet my expectations and honour my purchase. I have lost valuable time, and weekend plans are now affected. Major letdown.
Ordered on the 24th June. Rand a week and a half later and was told the item hadn't even been dispatched. Today is the 19th July and still has not arrived. Its a ramp I require to get a tractor mower up and down a kerb. I know its being delivered to Ireland but it's almost a month since I ordered it. Obviously can't comment on the quality of the product, but even when I rang about it there was no apology for the delay or empathy shown. First and last time using them.
The customer service received is appalling from the initial order where incorrect price was quoted, to delivery which took 3 days blamed the carrier however their website states next day delivery, when order finally arrived it was damaged, to the staff who appear to have little or no training as they do not manage expectations, return calls or emails. I have received an order acknowledgement for a replacement however no email to confirm delivery date or how the damaged item will be collected. I am £210 out of pocket and have no clue what is happening. Avoid this company, spend your money elsewhere.
Complete con I have used Slingsby for the 1st and last time. I was looking for recycling bins, did my research and found colours ones on their site. My local supermarket was selling for £10, but Slingsby had them for £7.19. Thought great, the picture showed the complete bin and was happy to order so did. To my horror they arrived but were just coloured lids. I checked on the site and yes they said lids BUT the picture was of a complete bin. Other sites show a lid picture or bin base picture, god knows why you would buy separately. I complained as Aldi were selling the same complete bin for £7.99 and asked them to standby their price match promise at least BUT no did not accept the picture error and still on website and not prepared to price match, or part refund. So just have lots of lids and no complete bin - very unhappy and useless customer service!!
Had a brilliant customer service from Melony at the Shipley/Baildon Branch today! Melony went above and beyond for the the Community centre sorting out an order last minuet! Would definitely use this company again, however, I wont be leaving it so late next time! A+
I’ve never had the need to write a bad review about any company - but please avoid this one. They sent me damaged products and are unwilling to return these items. I have had to take the complaint further ! Avoid this company!
Place an order for next day delivery on the 30th of Aug for next day delivery, its now 5th of September and I still haven't had any updates. Needed the boxes for moving houses and Slingsby closed for the weekend...very disappointed as I have to go buy boxes elsewhere I sent an email enquiring about my order status and I didn't hear back!!!!
We have used H C Slingsby on several occasions for a variety of products and have always found the customer service to be excellent and the products of fantastic quality.Will definitely be using this company again and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Good products, good service, good business. Nothing to complain.
Had to pick up heaters and separators so people can come back to an incredibly cold yet socially distanced office. Delivery was quick so can't fault it
