The Best Fish'n'Chips in the city. Great value Efficient service and the chips are always fresh. Don't be put off by the queue, they'll get you in and out in no time. You are also welcome to eat your food in the Birdcage pub adjacent if you're buying drinks. Eat there more often than I am willing to admit.

I have visited here a few times. The place is always busy which is a good sign. This time I tried their Christmas dinner. Turkey sausage, battered stuffing, chips, cranberry sauce and gravy. It was really nice and a good amount of food for the price. 

My wife had Haddock and it was massive. you really get good portions here. 

There is seating downstairs which has a 1940/50s feel about it.

Excellent fish and chips. The portion is huge! If you are concerned about your diet but still want a good bite, get the Cod Goujon
