I don’t honestly don’t know how this property hasn’t got a poor rating? The place was filthy cobwebs everywhere and array of dead & alive bugs. The chair & sofa in the lounge was actually black with dirt the whole bottom of the sofa has broken so you can’t actually sit on it. The flat is full with either broken or the worst possible quality furniture possible. The table in the kitchen can’t be sat at as it’s so wobbly. I darted to read the reviews & one from November reported that most of the light bulbs don’t work & they still don’t. It’s absolutely freezing in the flat & is no way of turning up the heating which is good as the flat doesn’t have a freezer? The way into the flat is through their garden which is lit by 1 of the worlds smallest floodlights. The up to the flat was named by my children ‘The stairs of death’. Anyone with mobility issues won’t be able to leave the car park as it’s so dangerous. We always get an AirB&B at Christmas which are usually up on the common so was hyped when I saw this one. Would definitely say stay in one of them as this one is so bad DO NOT STAY HERE
We stayed here last weekend and had a good time. However, there is a big woodlice issue! The upstairs bedroom, which was freezing, was filled with them and they were falling onto the bed from the beam above, so I ended up sharing a bed with my friend. The lounge also had a woodlice problem, they were crawling all over the floor and also falling from the ceiling. The sofa was really dirty and old and the whole place felt very cold in the evening. The kitchen light didn’t work and the outside staircase is quite unsteady at the top. Shower was great. The building is super quirky which we loved. It wasn’t clean though and there was a lot of dust. The lady from the pub who let us in was super friendly and did respond to my email about these issues, however I’m still waiting to hear back from the owner. Overall I think it was very expensive for the experience we had, but with a few improvements it could be great.
Lovely and very large, fairly priced accomodation. Warm, clean and cosy, it was the perfect place to stay for a girls weekend away. Beds were very comfortable. Water pressure in the shower wasn’t great but everything else was perfect. We ate dinner at the pub both nights and were very happy with all our meals and the great service.
Lovely place to stay, owners very polite and helpful. Beautiful surroundings too.
