I recently visited Greggs and had an absolutely brilliant experience. The pizza was amazing – fresh, hot, and full of flavour. A tall, slim staff member wearing a cap went out of his way to make sure I was looked after. He even put in a fresh pizza just for me, which made all the difference. Excellent service paired with delicious food – I’ll definitely be coming back!
The gingerbread latté was such a disappointment. Tasted vile. Just wasted money on a drink I can’t even have now. The staff are lovely and honestly I mean no offence to them as the customer service is excellent however all staff should be retrained on correct beverage making routine and practise. Sadly it’s just not good enough. I love the flavour of the gingerbread latte and the smooth roast of the coffee, it’s so enjoyable when made right but unfortunately it’s always a gamble, depending on who’s making it and how they make the coffee or if they’re busy with other tasks etc. It’s just so hit and miss! Sometimes it’s lovely but then the other half of the time it’s just inedible, bitter with over powering taste of dead coffee shots. That’s what I received today. I did ask for an extra pump of gingerbread syrup in the coffee in the restaurant order notes. However I don’t think this was followed and even if it was there was no way I could taste it because the coffee was so bitter and horrible. There’s two reasons why this happened.. 1. Too much coffee was added to the drink more than the amount specified in the standard recipe or 2. The employee who made the drink had queued the coffee shots and left the coffee to sit in the cup whilst they complete other tasks or serve customers at the till. This is unacceptable. It’s basic coffee making and barista knowledge that espressos shots have a life of up to seconds and after that the espresso shots die and there is no smooth tasting coffee anymore and it’s just a bitter mess of what could have been a delightful experience for the taste buds.nnIf there are hot drinks in order then the employee should complete them in one smooth transaction not leave it half made to complete other tasks and then finish the beverage. This is not professional and it’s resulting in poorly crafted drinks that aren’t worth drinking.nnThe only employee who can make a decent coffee and are actually enjoyable is the blonde woman sorry don’t know your name. She seems to be the only one following the correct process and Greggs recipe, therefore resulting in a great coffee.nnI know it does get busy in Greggs but customers can wait a minute for a coffee to be made or for an order to be fulfilled. Which leads me to believe that there is also an understaffing issue.nnJudging by the reviews, there seems to be a few other issues as well. WHAT are management doing? Someone is getting paid a lucrative managerial salary and not doing their job! The manager seriously needs to get more involved in their role. Start replying to customer reviews and gather staff in a meeting to go through these issues and create solutions to them and put measures in place to address these.nnThese terrible reviews are reflecting terribly on Gregg’s reputation and although greggs are able to offer low cost, nice customer service and convenience. Rooley lane is studded with competitors that also offer the same if more. There’s needs to be consistency, there needs to be better quality and service. This is YOUR responsibility manager, honestly not sure how area management aren’t on your back about how poorly the franchise is performing.
I'm a regular customer at this storenI noticed a new staff member servingnI would like to say that he's called Amir ,nI believe he's training managernI can say he is doing a amazing JobnHe's served me on numerous occasionsnHe's so polite , is customer service skills are 100% , he smiles as he serves me and other customers and he always asks how's you what can I get you , he makes conversationnThat's what you call excellent customer service, he will bring lots of regular customers happy and new customers keep coming back , hes a guys who puts is customers first and he's the right person for bringing back the customer in the store greggs done well to employ him as a manager who will do well in the futurenThe customers love his customer service skills , customers like me will want to keep going back to get served by himnI would finally like to say thank you amir for your great passionate servicenKeep up the good work
Great service must say from a new guy in the shop , always working hard, giving best service at this store particularlynEither serving customers or sweeping up emptying bins , what a lovely chap must say , he got a name badge sticker , stating manager in training, name is amir , you are doing a brilliant job, I've seen him greeting every customer including me whilst even waiting in the que to be served , I've been served by him last couple of weeks , so polite and so friendlynHe should be recognised by his team and area manager for is hardworknThank you amir also , stay blessed
Brilliant service from Rowan, this guy deserves a raise. There are issues with the drive thru and they sometimes have to close it. These things happen but he is always so kind and serves with a smile on his face at all times.nnAlways a pleasure to bring my custom here because of you!
