Food was nice, enjoyed the carvery, service was ok, found the person behind the bar a little arrogant and the chef demotivated. The reason for the 2 star is the price, we were trying work out why the carvery was more expensive on a Sundays and Bank holidays, I said it is because they pay the staff more on a Sunday, so I asked the chef if he got paid more on a Sunday and he replied nope I get the same, which seems to me, then the pub is just profiteering on peoples availability to eat on a Sunday. If you are not paying your staff more, I know other bills are no more expensive on a Sunday. Food isn't bought in on a Sunday at extra expense? So please explain why you charge the public more for eating on a Sunday?

Fairly good carvery at a fantastic price. Two carveries - served all day - with two drinks for £11.50. Meat was a little tough, as were the roast potatoes, and the vegetable selection was limited at best. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, service was incredibly quick and there were plenty of tables to chose from.

Lovely food, reasonable prices. Healthy eating. Dog friendly. Indoor and outdoor eating areas.

Had to send two lots of food back due to being undercooked and cold. Then received horrible microwaved food. I payed good money for poor food and wasn't even given a sorry, for £38 I expected much better than what I got Very disappointed and will not vist again.

Went on a Thursday around 1pm. Had tables available. The carvery was very nice and had all the meats available. Menu items were tasty and we received large portions as well. Good value for money.
