I visited for a Christmas meal with my father. The service was excellent. I’m disabled and the lady help me load my plate and bring my food and drinks over. The food was absolutely delicious. Whenever we are in Dereham this pub is our go to. Great service, great food - what’s not to love!
Very busy and a bit chaotic, we were kept waiting when we first arrived to be seated, but in the end we were seated, we had to queue up at the bar to order and pay for our meal which had a very large queue as there was a works Christmas dinner going on and everyone seemed to be paying individually.nOue food was served fairly quickly, the only problem was I didn't get a ticket for my carvery but in the end it was sorted the food was very good, the carvery was hot and fresh, the rest of the meals we of good quality too.nOn the menu it had order by app but this was not available, if it had been it would have made ordering much easier and quicker.
Great food! Bar service was very efficient. The only thing which I marked down was the service from the kitchen, we waited around 45 minutes, but this was at a busy period. However, around 8pm we ordered desserts, they also took around 45 minutes to arrive, this was after the pub became noticeably quiet!nnOther than the wait for food everything was great, will be visiting again as the food was very nice!
For a chain pub I was pleasantly surprised, very clean and tidy with pleasant staff. Food as expected and served in timely manor.nAug 24 update- Unfortunately they were understaffed and struggling a bit.
