I volunteer here at times. It's a wonderful place, rather tranquil and peaceful. Friendly people looking after injured birds.
Volunteer run wild bird sanctuary. Very helpful friendly staff. Certainly overworked and underfunded and currently full, although they still took in the little Dunnock I took to them. Keep up the great work guys, you do an amazing job.
Such a lovely place. We just took in an injured dove and although the outcome is looking bleak for the poor thing, the care and thoughtfulness of the staff instantly reassures you that they're going to get the best care they could possibly receive. Not many take in the not so popular breeds seen as vermin but they treat and care for each bird individually to the best of their abilities and it's so admirable. Thank you to all the staff for your love and devotion to animals.
The work they do is amazing, such a good sanctuary! Handed a pigeon in to them and they've given me updated and a photo on how she's getting on. Lovely place and top quality volunteers!
After finding an injured baby blackbird this morning, didn't know anywhere could care for it, googled this amazing little sanctuary. Baby birdy is now safe. Thank you, wonderful to know that our wildlife is not overlooked and there are charities out there.
Dropped off a bird here, was told to pick it up in a week. I came back a week later, was told to ring before coming. Problem is, the website says they only take calls between 2-3pm. Problem with that is, they never pick up the phone. Phoned nearly every day for at least 3 weeks since I dropped off the bird - nothing. 2 Stars because they look after a lot of birds, even if the conditions are quite squalid. Will be going elsewhere from now on.
This is a great asset to the wild live in the surrounding area of Bury. I do the same but on a much smaller scale in Halifax. I often rely on to take birds and pass each other tips. Please give generously to them if you can they are very dedicated. Paul Evitts
The staff here are the most lovely people. When I called with an abandoned chick they didn't hesitate. I would have been truly lost without them.

Shut until further notice. No mention of this online wasted an hour journey. Luckily the injured bird I had managed to get taken in by a man who saves wildlife from home
