We have been taking our cars to this garage for several years and have found the mechanics very helpful and work has been done in good time and at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

Had my works Ford Transit mot done with them this week. Can't fault the service i received with them. Everything was done quickly and after years of dealing with shoddy Dick Turpin garages over the years this place is a breath of fresh air! John even showed me everything that had been done to my van while it was up on the ramps when i went to collect it. The garage is spotless and would definitely uses them again. Good honest service.

Took my car in for what should be a relatively simple fix (exhaust gasket). Would not recommend this garage if you're self-employed. Had it booked in, left for almost the whole day, and then called to say part hadn't arrived. So organised for next week, took in today, gent wasn't sure part had arrived but then noticed it next to reception...and then told me there wasn't time for today and to bring it in tomorrow. I just walked out at that point. I make the time, wether self-employed or not, to be without my car for the day and after last week, should be treated with the highest priority, not pushed back and made to feel insignificant. So this garage does not get my future work, or my partner's car for mot's...and I'll stop recommending them as I previously did to friends. Poor service, poor communication.

Zero stars. Would NOT recommend. My car broke down and would not start, close to this garage. I am not from Edinburgh and was en route to my home over 100 miles away when this happened. Initially the mechanics were very helpful and told me they would look at my car for me but it would take a few days, although it was an issue with the fuel as they were not diesel specialists they would need to send elsewhere, but they would not know until further investigation which I was happy with. The mechanic got my car into the garage then after speaking to his boss I was told they could not help me as they had a busy week ahead, so why reverse my car into the garage then. Due to the stress I broke down in tears and was basically told it was not their fault I had an old car and did not have breakdown cover. They then pushed my car into a parking space in the street and walked away leaving me in tears. I left my car in Edinburgh over the weekend and got a train home. I sourced a garage literally a few minutes away from Greenend Motors who had my car fixed and on the road again in a few hours. Not being from the area I only found this when I looked online over the weekend yet they never had the decency to tell me that was another garage close by. So Greenend motors thanks for reducing me to tears on a Friday afternoon. How you feel if someone had treated your mother or wife in this heartless manner.

These guys are the best in Edinburgh. Been using them for years. Had a big Mazda they even built parts for when their were none available!! Ive been unfortunate with cars, they always tell you if its worth getting the work done or not. One garage that will be fair and honest. I've since moved to the other side of town but I still use them!! Id say, keep up the good work John and the guys but I somehow suspect they will!!
