Douglas Hamilton installed and commissioned my Worcester Bosch Greenstar SI Compact boiler. Unfortunately, his substandard work resulted in Worcester Bosch condemning the boiler when they came to do the annual service. Douglas failed to respond to my communications so I had to enlist the help of Gas Safe Register, who backed up WB’s findings with a “Do Not Use” notice. Corners cut included: failing to seal the flue against either the internal or external fabric of the building, failing to flush the system so the water in my radiators was brown/black, failing to turn in the pressure relief pipe against the exterior of the building, failing to ensure adequate clearance and ignoring sections of the commissioning checklist. Douglas evidently has no time to read the manufacturer installation instructions where all these points are described in detail. Gas Safe had Douglas rectify the safety issues however he offered up no apology for the stress and trouble he caused me.
