When here while visiting my 91 year old mother in Houghton le Spring. She gets a cod and chips here every other Wednesday so we stuck with tradition and are really glad we did. Crisp chips and very tasty fish. Lovely.Food: 5/5

I've got to say, really nice fish and chips. I think I paid £9 for large fish and chips, the portion was massive, really big fish and large amount of chips. The fish was well battered and tasted fresh, chips were really good. Large selection of items on the menu and some good deals. They take cash and card. Highly recommended.Food: 4/5

First visit ever to this fish shop tonight and certainly was not disappointed. Friendly staff and very obliging. Fish and chips were excellent. It was recommended to us and we will certainly do the same. 11/10

Very nice haddock. Chips a bit soft and had to go back for more salt and vinegar, but overall very nice. I think the oil or fat could be a bit hotter. Thank you

I live 18 miles away from this small chip shop but that's how good they are fish is always cooked fresh chips proper chips not like eating match sticks or dried potatoe if I had to find a fault fish to big lol Price like everywhere has had to go up. But what you get is worth the petrol to get them

Freshly made, huge fish with just the right amount of batter. Delicious, and the chips and curry sauce too. Even for a fussy eater like me. Brilliant value for money too. Best I've had in 7 years living in the North East. A hidden gem

STAY WELL CLEAR,I have been using for years, staff attitude terrible and so unhelpful, have to beg for carrier bag, always have to wait at least ten minutes for yesterday chips, and batter scraps need a microscope to find,will be using SILVER GRID from now on
