Crozier Fisheries

Ordered a spam fritter. Never seen anything like it I wish I had taken a picture it was about 1cm thick IF THAT and had a few flakes of batter on one side only!! I can’t believe they would serve this, can’t believe I was even charged for it. The woman behind the counter not the one who served me was so rude, so miserable and had a horrible attitude - zero customer service. Not a smile from anyone behind the counter when I walked into the shop which was empty with no customers in on a Friday lunch time that speaks volumes really. Fish wasn’t great, chips very pale, fish had skin on! I don’t know of ANY fish shops these days that leave skin on or don’t tell you/ask you if you prefer skinless etc. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend at all. The owners reply of ‘oh dear you should of brought it back’ really speaks for itself, no apology. and FYI no I shouldn’t of ‘brought it back’ not only do I live 15 mins away but you should never have served it!

Excellent food, very efficient and friendly service, I have used this shop for years never had a bad meal try it you'll not be disappointed.

Been coming here on and off for years. Always outstandingly good and generous portions. Everything a traditional fish and chip shop should be. Can't recommend highly enough.

Not having tried this place before, I went on 12th June and was reassured by the amount of people in the queue. I ordered 2 small fish, a bag of chips and 2 small tubs of mushy peas. I was really shocked to be charged £15 for these however nice they were!!! There are much better and cheaper places to go and I couldn't recommend them at these prices. Definitely NOT value for money

Used this shop for years and had good food for years but wish they'd put on website when they decide to close on a whim. I checked website for opening hours yesterday as was travelling a distance to use this shop and have been caught out before. Website said it was open.Got there to find it closed with a little note on shutters. So annoying! Got there only to find it closed with a note on the shutters. Really annoying!

Simply delicious FnCs. Very quick service because they know they're good, they just whip them out, and delicious. Food is fried in beef dripping, and the fish is fresh and gorgeous. Chips also slightly thinner than most FnC shops - crispy and light, reminiscent of pre-sunflower oil Maccie's chips, but without the corporate nonsense. If you want fish and chips and are in Sunderland, go here.

Great fish and chips it's my local best fish and chips in Sunderland wouldn't go anywhere else the portions are big the staff are nice and friendly
