Arrived via local train and out within minutes into a modern, open space with plenty of light. A massive change from the old experience. My first trip since the changes and I'm impressed lots of food options and seamless link to the bullring. The shops here seem like flagship stores so they hold a larger range of product. We eat at tapas revolution, our first experience of Spanish food. Don't know how authentic it was, had a set menu for 2 to share and really enjoyed it. Only one thing from the 7 or so dishes I didn't like but the rest was lovely. The meatballs especially are fantastic. Price wise £44 for 2 with drinks 👍

Great selection of places to shop and eat However the station is extremely cold throughout most of the year, and some genius decided to make the chairs outside the ticket barriers and restaurants out of metal with no padding so they will make you feel even colder. Great if you're willing to spend a but while you're commuting but don't get here too early. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

Fantastic place compared to the old station. Great place to meet friends for a drink and a catch-up. Plus it has John Lewis and lots of well known and lesser known named shops.

Do you remember the “old” Birmingham New Street Station? A colleague mentioned to me that he was so disgraced by it, he would meet his clientele at Birmingham International Station instead. Grand Central is a world away from the old days. The huge transparent panel installed in the ceiling allows light to team through. The food mall section offers excellent choice and value for money. It is abuzz with Brummies. Grand Central offers excellent access to the Bull Ring and Mailbox where your every shopping need can be realised. The station itself has excellent access for all, is comfortable, well staffed with information boards aplenty. Come all, see what Birmingham has to offer.

I went there when invited to T H Bakers Jewellers. The Grand Central is fairly new with a wide variety of shops and the modernised train station. The Bull Ring is slightly older. It's all good with a wide variety of units for shopping, browsing, eating, pursuing arts and crafts. There is also a community hub in the Grand Central. The whole complex is good for people_watching
