Thank you for visiting Graham Smith Antiques, we are a British antiques business based in North East England, on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne. Our family owned business has been established for 14 years though Graham has been gathering his experience and knowledge in the antiques trade for 40 years having been a director and partner within a large international antiques business prior to opening his own shop.
Although we specialise in antique furniture, our range of antique clocks, ceramics, glass and metal ware are also quite comprehensive. The business has recently moved from a shop in Jesmond to a larger premises with showrooms at the edge of the city. This showroom houses all of the antiques you see on our website and we encourage customers to visit us in person if at all possible.
Our philosophy is “Excellence through consistent quality”; using his experience of the antiques trade Graham aims to provide customers with all the help and advice they may need in choosing antiques for home or business. All of the antiques we stock are sourced and personally chosen by Graham, who travels the length and breadth of England and Scotland in search of high quality antiques. We are far from an anonymous internet business; our roots are firmly in face to face retail and our experienced team of staff are always happy to help customers with any aspect of their purchase, online or in store.
We are members of two reputable trade associations, LAPADA (antique dealers association) and CINOA (International Confederation of Traders in Works of Art). Both of these organisations have codes of practice that their members are regulated by, incorporating not only pricing and accuracy rules but also consumer protection laws. We are proud to be members of these organisations and Graham Smith is also on the board of directors at LAPADA, after being voted into this position by his peers within the trade in 2005.
We hope that you enjoy browsing through our range of antiques; you can also speak to us on the telephone to clarify details, check delivery information etc so do not hesitate to get in touch using the details on our contact page.
