30 years ago this was THE BEST CHINESE around. last night our chilli chips if you can call them that had a very light dusting of chilli seasoning on them and were half the portion size of our regular takeaway, where they actually put chopped chillis, onions and spices etc in. The lemon chicken was a tiny portion and tasteless and the pork balls were, again, half the size of the Jade Garden in Spilsby and dry. We only went here because Jade Garden was closed. I wish I’d gotten off my lazy ar$e and cooked for myself. I will never be returning here again.
Great takeaway, just moved to the area so we didn't know where to go. We were recommended this Chinese and we weren't disappointed, all the food is excellent.
Decided to try the Golden Mill based off of positive reviews but was so disappointed. Firstly, I could buy better quality duck from Aldi or Lidl, it was either just crisp or fat and definitely wasn’t a quarter. The salted chilli chicken was terribly tasteless and had no fresh chilli? The sweet and sour sauce tasted of pure vinegar. Would not recommend. The positive reviewers clearly don’t know what a good quality authentic Chinese tastes like.
We’ve never had a bad takeaway The only problem we’ve had is that they don’t clear their messages on the phone so every time we try to place an order it’s impossible to get through so we end up going there and have to and wait for about half an hour so annoying when I mention this they just say their too busy
Travelled from Skegness to the Golden Mill for £29 order ..... food was lovely but was surprised when the lady said no complimentary prawn crackers unless you spend over £30 and yet had them before for less. I even got them with a Meal For One in Skegness
Very nice Chinese, it has gone a little expensive now and they don't fill the trays like they used to Parking: Parking pretty much outside
Best Chinese takeaway in Lincolnshire I won't eat anywhere else! Parking: Car park in Burgh village next to restaurant. Always easy to park.
A busy Saturday night wait time was well worth it Kid-friendliness: Kids were included with talking and answering questions
Although a 5 mile drive to collect from, this is ma takeaway of choice for over 10 years, always helpful on the phone, food ready when they say it will be, and always cooked correctly and taste is perfect! Why go anywhere else!
Good food, friendly service. I you want food quicker then order in person; phone orders take longer to be prepared, but then you don't have to sit around and wait - it's personal choice.
