Tried again yesterday. lovely meal, just the right amount for a large meal too, didn’t taste really greasy and will definitely come again! Large menu and lots of choices also very reasonably priced especially for the portion sizes
Despite the app stating that we should contact for dietary requirements, the reality we had when going with an order for 6 people was that the chips were "technically" gluten free. Our mum has Coeliac disease and gluten would be seriously detrimental to her health. Also, the "vegetarian options" are all cooked in beef dripping. This is very disappointing from an award winning fish and chip shop and we will not be eating here again. Vegetarian options: There are none. This is also not good enough in the year 2023.; Dietary restrictions: We were told that the chips were "technically" gluten free. That isn't good enough and certainly isn't worth the risk to be able to eat such a limited amount. It would be better to say you don't do it than create such disappointment.
Still the best fish and chips around. The app helps with service as food is ready on time. Staff always helpful, with a little bit of banter which is great. Only negative, we miss the pies.Food: 4/5
Amazing chips... Tried the fishcake and curry sauce quality. I reckon you'd be happy with any food here. It's cooked to order, which means a wait but when it is this good, that's fine by me. Lovely staff too.
Still excellent fish and chips. Chips never soggy. I recommended to a colleague and they really enjoyed. Only downer, last week I had a fishcake, must be different supplier because it was awful. Stick to the fish.
Very disappointed, this is the 2nd and last recent order, one was online and the other a walk-in the chips were cold when we got home 10 mins after collection and the plaice and cod tasted as though they had been cooked and stored for ages. In the past it has always been excellent - such a shame.

I have been here many times over the years and have always experienced wonderful service from a helpful, friendly professional team who provide a service for which I feel valued as a customer and the produce is of great standard,good value ,hot and very tasty. The on line pre order system is a terrific idea making the system even more efficient. Love this place. Love you team. Would highly recommend.
Delightful young crew with smiles and a very positive customer facing attitude serving, what has to be the best fish and chips I have tasted for a very long time. I shall be returning in due course.
