Story

The Waterfront Restaurant is a family run restaurant set alongside Windsor marina affording us breathtaking views and making us the ultimate destination restaurant.

From our menu you can expect some South African favourites and our take on the classics. Espetadas and sizzling skillets sit beside traditional roasts and brunch dishes, bar snacks get a South African twist with our ‘Sapas’ menu and our cocktails get a creative make over in our Shebeen bar.

We are all about freshly prepared, locally sourced food with some South African flair and flavour.

Please note that while we do offer a small kids menu, we do not promote ourselves as a child friendly environment and while families with young children are welcome before 7pm, after 7pm we aim to provide an adult environment for all of our diners. We thank you all for your understanding regarding this policy.

The gate is closed at night but we welcome all members of the public, when you arrive at the gate, just buzz us in the restaurant, enjoy free parking and come in for a warm welcome and delicious food.

Absolutely amazing food served with an exceptional smile and warmth. A whole crowd of us went for our Managers 50th Birthday. Made amendments to our booking right up until 3 hours before our dining time which were accommodated. Upgraded to a private dining area. Music catered for. Will definitely be coming back for more events and can’t wait for the summer to enjoy the full waterfront experience. Thank you for helping us celebrate Vegetarian options: Lots of options. Parking: Ample onsite parking and very easy to locate. Dietary restrictions: Catered for all our requirements and even modified certain aspects to meet our needs.
Food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend the soup which was delicious. Service was high quality and everyone was friendly. Cost was also very fair. Great place for a serious dinner or a quick lunch break.
Excellent coffee as always and a truly idyllic setting overlooking the marina. Great for spotting river birds and for people watching. Heavy rain so we were moved to within the outdoor marquee no questions asked. Lovely atmosphere with music and attentive staff. NB Photo taken enjoying Kedgeree a few months back, but they’re not currently serving breakfast/brunch due to staff resourcing issues.
Just love this restaurant! The setting, the food, the ambiance and the service all top class! The chicken salad was delicious and the orange pieces were a lovely addition. Will definitely be back!
Really nice. The food was really good, if a bit pricey but worth it. The staff where attentive & professional. Even when the order was taken wrong. It was corrected professionally & politely.
Absolutely fantastic evening at Gogos celebrating a friends 40th birthday in the private dining area. The food was absolutely delicious - the ribs slid off the bone. Brilliant fun party atmosphere. Big shout out to George who was a wonderful host and looked after us all so well.
It was a quick find. It's south african based food but not to the taste of South Africa's roots. Friendly vibrant atmosphere. It was disappointing one pays a service charge thats added to bill but on the paper says its discretionary. However its in a nice place lacks the authentication of true Boer taste. We were referred here by South Africans on our trip in Windsor as we are South african. It's well presented the food. Not enough air con on such a hot day. This wasn't great for us doesn't mean it won't be delicious for another. The waitress didn't come to our table you must present yourself to the bar!
One hell of a meal and quality service. Will be sure to visit again. The desserts, mains and starters were all fitting and the location is second to none in the area.
Friendly staff and excellent view over the Windsor Racecourse and Marina. This is a family running business and the owner/manager is down to earth. Lovely South African wines and food. For me a 5 Star restaurant
Food was fresh and delicious. Staff were fantastic. Service was great! Will definitely be going back.
