We camped there £18 per night with dog and electric, quiet site even with a very busy pub. Will be going back soon. The food was fantastic at about the average price you'd expect to pay. The had a carnival there while we were there, great fun and by the evening it was all cleared away as if the had never been there. Plenty of parking and judging by the cars left over night I don't think they mind if you want to leave your car there over night if you want to have a few drinks. Pub and campsite dog friendly.
Have been before & food has been good. However, bank holiday Monday, the food was nothing special being polite.. spare ribs very greasy & not cooked properly, my daughter had the sausage & chips her favourite & ended up leaving the sausage as her words they were horrible!. The up side to the visit, the swordfish & extras was very good. Will visit once again sometime just in case they were having an off day.
Nice enough place, food wasn't wonderful but must be good at times as they often seem to be fully booked. Dogs were welcome in the bar area which was a bonus as we had ours with us. My main concern is the fact that there is no footpath and the road is so very dark it would be more helpful if there was better lighting both on the road and the driveway up to the pub.
Judging by the reviews on here we must have just got a bad night as most people have found this place to be great. Good points- staff were friendly and accommodating. Warned us there would be a delay as they were busy but shouldn't be too long. Children's play equipment outside under 12 children's reading books for young children in porch were welcome and good. My four year old enjoyed his chicken bites chips and beans. Bad points- we waited for the food for over an hour. The restaurant had a few large groups but was very far from full. In other words they should have been able to cope. Several items on our order didnt arrive, these were side orders onion rings and corn on cob and had been recorded when order was placed. We had ordered two pizzas, the tops were burnt and the base so hard it was unpleasant to eat. Eat it we did as after the extended delay I would have eaten a scabby horse. I noted a couple who had order before us still hadn't received there order when we left. Poor things. In summary, when we complained the staff were extremely apologetic saying it was a difficult night and they were doing the best they could. They immediately cancelled the charges for the items not supplied and the pizzas.
Nice food great staff would recommend if your In the area
We had a wonderful New Year's Eve party here last night, great band Jo 90 great buffet and atmosphere and a real bargain at £10 a ticket. The staff were brilliant, very efficient and friendly. We'll be back!
Been there 2 times in the last year, first time was an aunts birthday party and the buffet was fantastic and good value I believe so we wanted to go back, we did despite the longish journey Pembroke . Have to say we were disappointed, the staff friendly and they tried . it was a quiet wednesday lunchtime and the food took an hour to arrive - the southern fried chicken must have been frozen was overcooked, the other mains very average, my steak rather tough, the chips tasted as though they were either yesterdays baked pots fried or yesterdays chips recooked , the food wasn't cheap either so should have been better Trenu mawr PS Maybe they should try and do something about the front door - it sticks and we saw 2 lots of people leave thinking it was closed
Called in on the off chance Saturday evening. Was told that they were “pretty much booked up” despite there being more empty tables than full, however we did sit down and order our 3 meals. These came fairly quickly but no follow up during the meal to check the meals were ok. Granddaughter wanted an ice cream to follow but after waiting 20 minutes after we had finished I gave up and had to go to bar to pay for meal. I went next door to the garage and bought her ice cream from there! Decent food but very poor service. There was barely 20 people eating so the staff should have been far more attentive.
I enjoyed a nice lunch and beer here with my family. It was a pleasant experience, which we all liked and i would go again The Gogerddan Arms is a nice bar and restaurant. Decent and reasonably priced food and some nice beers. Lots of outside space and a place for the kids to play. Quite nice really.......
Good food at very reasonable prices. Lovely roast dinners had and decent kids pizza. Child friendly and a pool table in the bar area. Decent kids play area and plenty of parking. Staff friendly and efficient.
