Went to look at mountain bikes as i couldnt find the pecific mtb i nèeded online greeted with a smile and someone who new what I needed flowing conversion and honesty. Staff member is clued up and very helpful and experienced in the mtb riding sector. plenty of outdoor stock and a bit of a sale on at the moment nice staff with good knowledge the mtb guy was knowledgeable staff quickly directed me to specific area I needed well stocked clean and welcoming, easy to locate and find the outdoor adventure you want to explore...climbing,cycling,walking, general British weather each area is specific to the sports...will be visiting this one again to purchase as I've only ever used website...thanks for a nice experience guys at your store...
Excellent place to visit for the great outdoor and adventurous people. They have every thing from water proofs to footwear,hiking poles. If your keen or experienced rock climber even have the boots and ropes. Then upstairs for the Great outdoors camping & caravaning and mountain bikes. Well worth a visit. Have been many times. Will be back again. Mention you saw it on here first...... why go any where else....
Great service from Louise and Calvin, sorted my phone order, no problem, after which collection was easy. On a separate visit for something else, Ryan was brilliant with his customer service, he couldn't have been more helpful, many thanks indeed!
Tried charging me for a members card - why would anyone pay this when you can buy from blacks or Millets which is the same company at the same prices without membership card prices. Another con by a company that is slowly getting rid of quality brands and replacing them with their own brands. OEX, Berghaus, Brasher, Peter Storm, north ridge.
Fairly priced when you have a membership, definitely not if you don’t. Helpful staff and nice store, sells equestrian items too.
I popped in to find a pair of outdoor shorts. Loads to choose from and decent value. Really helpful staff. Update unfortunately. I ordered some chairs for collection. Arrived today, went upstairs looking for a collection point and couldn't see anything. So waited at the till for 5 minutes or so be told they will be upstairs. The young guy on the radioed someone to say I was going upstairs to collect chairs. I waited by the stars for another 10mins being ignored by staff and the same young guy. When I asked him how much longer I needed to wait he told me to go to the cycle area and that he had told me to go there. He obviously hadn't, because if he had, why would I wait by the chairs? Terrible service, plenty of staff, but no-one wants to help out customers.
Whoever operates this company you need to scrap your faffy membership twaddle. Waiting in queues whilst cashiers fill out memberships for so called discounts. I decided to go next door to sports direct. Discounts with no membership. You stock great products but just ditch the membership.
Really nice customer service yesterday especially from Demi who helped out choosing some new walking boots and also to the lady behind the tills. I do hope the management take notice and reward their staff as I was quite surprised to find out that they are not allowed to accept tips. It’s a shame we don’t adopt a tipping mentality like they do in the USA as I strongly believe it encourages a better customer service. Anyway, thanks again for the service guys and who knows, hopefully someone takes notice and you might get a few extra drinks thrown in at your Xmas party ;- PS the boots are great
Very well set out store backed up by friendly staff and some really decent savings to be found in the store. Tip:- Purchase the loyalty card for £5 and save quite a bit at the till on your purchase, so much so it knocks out the cost of the card purchase and you still save. A win-win.
Potentially the worst place on the Internet I have ever had the misfortune of placing an order with. Found out they use yodel for delivery's so decided to do click and collect to prevent issues of items going missing. It's taking ages for each item to be dripfed into the store and each time I get a harassing text message telling me I have 1 day to collect the item. When I ask where the rest of the order is they have no idea and end up having to phone up the call centre and the call centre asked the store to hold the items for longer than 1 day till the rest of the order is in but then I get another text telling me to urgently collect my items. Even had another text 1 hr after collecting part of the order threatening me to make sure I collect the order the same day, when I went back in again they said this text was for the earlier part of the order that I had already collected an hour before the text message. Honestly it's not worth the hassle using go outdoor no matter how cheap you find an item, I've walked 15 miles already this week just collecting parts of the orders when I could have just picked the orders up in 1 go and saved myself 12 miles of walking
