Found a empty packet of cigarettes in my room and the room smelled of smoke. When I mentioned this to the lady at reception she told me all rooms are thoroughly cleaned and this should of never happened. She didn't even appoligise or offer any solution. I don't want to sound like a snob but the guests seemed staying there seemed to be in emergency accommodation and had no respect for other residents. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SPEND THE EXTRA €10 TO GET A PROPER HOTEL!

While the room we ended up in was relatively clean, our first room had mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and we were told that they could not accommodate us elsewhere because they were booked solid, it took the involvement of a manager to change our rooms to a clean one. The room was nice enough but the hallway to our room was leaking appalling amounts of water constantly while no one was seen attempting to fix it. The restaraunt's staff was very pleasant especially the bar tender/manager on our first night and the gentleman waiter on our last morning, they are the sole reason this is not a 1 star rating. We had dinner in the hotel restaraunt both nights that we stayed. The first night the food was excellent, we actually ordered the same things the next night. However the second time around was not as pleasing. My wife's seasoned beef sandwich tasted like clove seasoned cloves on clove bread and my steak sandwich was cooked more medium well than medium rare and was primarily inedible fat.

1. The Staff: the staff are always great. They are Always very approachable and helpful and friendly. 2. Cleanliness: This hotel is Always very clean and warm. Not a spot of dirt anywhere. 3. Food: There is a restaurant and a bar with a good selection of food and drink. 4. Prices: i find everything to be very reasonable. The rooms are nice and cheap. 5. Car Parking: there is a big car park. 6. Complaints: i have no complaints.

I would NOT recommend staying here. The pictures of the rooms they show do NOT look like the rooms you get (last 4 photos of this review is the actual room). They attempted to make us stay in a room (room 217 which is on the second floor only accessible by stairs) that was FILLED with mold in the bathroom (it had to have been like that for months and I am not sure how no one noticed it before as it is huge patches on the ceiling and all around the area where the walls meet the ceiling and staff was surprised when we mentioned it), the lights flickered when turned on like they were having a really difficult time turning on, there were patches on the ceiling from water damage, cracks everywhere, and the room smelled musty and disgusting. When my husband went to the lobby to tell them about the mold and that we could not stay in it as it is not healthy, he was told by the front desk clerk that they were full and that they had nowhere to move us, expecting us to stay in a moldy hazardous room. He then asked for the manager, who finally did move us after the front desk clerk went back and forth with him about them not having anywhere to move us. Finally the manager told her that we couldn't stay in the room as it is unsafe with mold. The room they moved us to was better, but is still not the best. The beds are very hard and seem old, the floor and bathroom didn't seem the cleanest, and the lights had trouble turning on. The only reason they get one star is because the manager did move us to a new room.

We went in last week for a coffee and tea after work. Very friendly place. We stayed longer than we planned...the fireplace was too cozy:)
