This is a blast from the past, an old fashioned repair shop, one of very few nowadays, fixing tv and stereo equipment, simple and reasonable service, bearing in mind that modern gear is much more difficult to repair, the only such shop in Farnworth and Bolton!

It's not often I have to go to a TV repairer. I chose Glynn St because they were close and had a shop front. Always good to have a counter to bang on if things go pear shaped. My LG plasma died after years of good service and you can't get plasma these days. Took GS a couple of days to get back with a quote of 150 for this, that and the other. I figured it reasonable if I were to get another 5 years out of it. Took GS about 10 days to sort it, the main delay being getting the parts, I was told. Anyway, I had been given a price, they stuck to it and I have my TV back and working. Strangely the remote they asked for was working when I took it in and isn't now. May be coincidence but there it is. I have a spare somewhere so finding that's easier than going back and banging on the counter.

Very unprofessional service - sum total of their "diagnostic" for a faulty tv was to plug in Sky HD. Lied about the cost of the repair. Didnt fully repair all the faults on the tv and when we argued about the fault used underhanded tactics to try and trick us.

Brilliant service!!, have used these guys for years, very helpful they have always given me a price for repairs first which although an estimate they have always kept to the estimated price.
