One of the poorer train stations you'll see. If you were to step off a train into Gloucester for the first time, you'd probably be appalled by the uninviting, unappealing mess that would greet you. The relatively new bridge over the tracks makes it look a little better, but otherwise everything from the platforms to the foyer to the exterior looks dilapidated or, at best, tired. Maybe it's gotten better since then, but years ago, I had bike parts nicked on multiple occasions. Hate travelling in and out of Gloucester for the station alone.

A great station, very central for Midlans, South Wales, South England and the West Country. Staff are very nice and helpful, good little café with tasty food. You can smoke out the front. Very short walk to town centre with bus links to the rest of the city also a short walk to Kingsholm (Rugby ground) and Gloucester Cathedral. Enjoy your stay!

Beside the one cross eyed black haird train dispatcher/conducted who moody it is a very nice place u mean it's just a train station take it or leave it.

The station is tatty, dirty and not very welcoming. It's so expensive to go on the train and yet this station is of an unbelievably poor standard. The egress from the station car park onto the main road is horrid. The whole thing needs serious serious attention and funding.
