Very competitive price and a good range of choices to suit all ages and all lengths of trips. I gave only 4 stars because of the rather long online application form and the somewhat confusing 2 part medical questionnaire ( for 'declarable' and 'non-declarable' medical conditions). When an error in completing the form occurs, all fields display a red asterisk, rather than just the specific field(s) that are in error. I had to contact Customer Support who were very helpful in completing the form for me at their end.

I would highly recommend Globelink. Nothing was too much trouble for Tracey in the Admin Dept. She gave me all the information I required and, in particular, the good news that Globelink's standard insurance covered the activities included in my short break to Lapland which was not the case with other companies I contacted who said I would have to pay extra for winter sports cover. The price was very competitive too.

When I decided to extend my trip beyond 40 days my existing insurance was invalidated as the T&Cs meant I had to return to the UK. I searched around for travel insurance and discovered all insurance is invalid if you buy it after you left (I never realised this before). I searched for specialist insurers and found World Nomads and Globelink via a money.co.uk article. I tried World nomads but the insurance came to near £700 and only covered the countries I listed as well as only the hazardous activities I specified. I then tried Globelink. The experience was so much easier and I saved myself just over £530 (think the final insurance was £180 for several months continuous cover based on the deets I put in. I got worldwide cover including the USA/Caribbean (I didn’t have to specify countries like world nomads meaning I can be flexible as to where I go), got a large list of existing conditions covered and added on a range of hazardous activities such as canoeing for only £35 more for several months. It also covers any volunteer work I do. Whilst the compensation amounts are smaller I just need the peace of mind that I’m covered if anything medical goes wrong so I can get it sorted and fly home - therefore I didn’t need expensive cover. All in all I’m so pleased I found Globe Link. It’s considerbly cheaper, more comprehensive and an easier to use site than World Nomads. They emailed the documents right away and the insurance kicked in about three days after purchasing (as I was already abroad there is always a delay in the policy starting). I think it’s a real shame that globe link doesn’t pop up on google when you search like world nomads does as you guys deserve the business but are hard to find! Thanks for insuring me! I will certainly use you again

Bought 6 months insurance with this company and after reading something on the news about travel insurance contacted them to disclose a completely unrelated simple health issue that was resolved - just in case it impacted a future claim. It has been three weeks and I haven't heard back from them. Service was good buying the insurance but am concerned now about the service if there is a claim - in light of the atrocious lack of follow up
