Did not stay here but enjoyed the excellent pub food and ale. Brilliant atmosphere with such friendly staff and locals. Our German Shepherd loved it being fussed by all. Made so welcome. Thumbs up to the Globe Inn. We will be back.
We found this pub whilst staying at the local campsite, we are motorhomers and where made to feel very welcome by everyone. Didn't eat in so can't comment on the food but have a good selection of beer, wine, Gins etc We returned later on our travels and asked if we could actually park in their carpark and they made us very welcome again. Watched the England match and they had a band after and had a good time. The locals are wonderful.
Staff so friendly and helpful. Even made us sandwiches for journey home. Food awesome!Service: 5/5
Wow, found the perfect pub. Great food great price . Lovely place to be it felt so homely. Service fantastic our grandchildren loved it all and I being a moaning person usually can't find anything wrong . We will be back. So if you camp at the forest of Dean pop in you won't regret it. Well done

Very friendly pub with good ale & food.
Great local pub. Friendly staff, good selection of real ales and cider along with bottled and keg lagers, and a couple of wines. The food menu is small and basic pub grub, but perfectly cooked and great value for money. Don’t forget to check what the specials are. The Sunday Dinners are great and incredibly good value. Food is currently only available 12-2.30 and 5 till 7. Pre COVID, it was all day, so hours may change again in the near future. They are dog friendly and dogs are welcome in all areas, once we are allowed back inside! In the meantime they have added a gazebo to their outdoor seating area, which has wooden tables. There is a small garden with kids play equipment. There is a large car park and plenty of parking space down the lane. There is live music at regular intervals, mostly rock covers with a few original songs, and as everyone outside at the moment, some of us don’t even need to visit to listen.
What a great pub, nothing flash but great tasty food well presented with friendly helpful staff and good chef. I`m glad the chemist was closed for dinner or we would never have come across it. Well done to staff and owner, tell me when your horse is running again.
