The medical staff at Glenwood health centre are some of the kindest and most considerate people. I had a heart transplant in October 2021 and they have bent over backwards to help me. Doctor Brett, Doctor Ross have been magnificent people have to remember the staff are very busy taking calls yes it has changed because of all these different types of pressures the staff have to deal with this is the reason why I have given Glenwood Surgery five stars.
whay people who is paying tax can't get appointment ... gp are constantly busy ... but people who is on benefits they always have priority to get appointment... because they are not working and can sitting on a phone since 8:30 am. its not our problem if gp don't have a doctor...
I have never had the misfortune to meet such a rude, unhelpful and nasty receptionist as I did today at the glenwood practice. Avoid the place if you can and register elsewhere as the old woman with the blonde/gray hair clearly is clearly the original Karen! Prison guards in a Russian gulag are probably friendlier than this person. She is past the point of needing re trained and needs her P45.
Rude, condescending, miserable reception staff. Avoid this practise and go elsewhere as they always seem to be too busy to see any patients.
I have been going to Glenwood Health Centre my whole life and I like the doctors who work there a lot. The new building is lovely and clean. The reception staff have improved recently but used to make going there/calling in a nightmare. One time, I had to wait in a queue so long because the staff were loudly writing a birthday card for someone while they ignored everyone and only left one lady to answer the constantly ringing phone. When, finally, I reached the front of the queue, the woman who spoke to me informed me that I was 10 minutes late! I was so angry because I had been waiting there for 15. I had to apologise to the Dr but I made sure to let him know that I had been early and was only late because I had been left waiting. Thank God I have seen an improvement with the reception staff recently and there is now a touch screen appointment thing which means you can sign in without waiting. The only downside now is that it is impossible to get an appointment. You can rarely book one unless it is weeks away and they can't book anything in over a month ahead, so you have to phone for an on the day appointment which, 1, isn't guaranteed and, 2, can't be worked around your schedule or planned.
It is unbelievable how hard it is to be seen by one off the doctors while trying to fit appointments around my 12hr working shifts! I have tried to arrange an appointment for my cervical screening test the dates the receptionist offered we're dates i was working she then said "she can't offer any further dates so there was nothing she could do" i think this is a sham off a doctor's surgery!!
Only 2 of the receptionists are very polite and helpful. There are some who's manners are somewhat below average. Seriously need some retraining
Never had any problems here. Lovely staff and dr sahu is a fantastic doctor. Used to see dr asamoha who was lovely too. Due to health issues im always able to get an appointment quickly.
It's a doctor's surgery it has 2 surgeries In the building it has 2 entrances in and out of the place receptionists can be a little nasty at times but it's part and parcel I suppose of working with the public you do you have to wait 2 days for a prescription and trying to get an appointment is a no no phone at 8 30 in the morning problem being you can't get through til 9 o clock and apparently the appointments are gone I'm a patient at 1 side of the surgery and the side I'm with is a joke.
Nice staffmostly but their system of trying to get to speak to a doctor is unfair and unreasonable
