10/10 – Exceptional Hospitality and a Truly Memorable ExperiencennWe would like to say a huge thank you to Karen and everyone at Glasgow Tigers Speedway at Ashfield Stadium for making our visit on Saturday, 31 May so special.nnWe were travelling back to Liverpool from Carnoustie via Glasgow and hoped to stop by the stadium to see my brother, Sebastian, who has been Frederik Jakobsen's mechanic for the last seven years and was travelling with him. Karen went far above and beyond anything we could have expected from an event organiser. She made it possible for us to visit at a time that suited everyone and couldn't have been more welcoming from the moment we arrived.nnKaren showed incredible kindness and hospitality throughout our visit, introducing us to the stadium owner, offering refreshments and snacks, and making us feel completely at home. We spent time chatting and hearing some wonderful family stories, and it genuinely felt like we were being welcomed by friends rather than visiting a venue for the first time.nnThe whole experience was overwhelming in the best possible way. Not only did we get the chance to spend valuable time with my brother, whom we don't get to see very often, but we also had the excitement of learning that Frederik Jakobsen had qualified for the next Grand Prix, which was the icing on the cake during our journey back to Liverpool. To top it all off, we were treated with such warmth, generosity and care that it became one of the highlights of our trip. We were also delighted to be introduced to the stadium owner and enjoyed a great conversation with him. As fellow Liverpool supporters, we immediately had plenty to talk about, which made the visit even more memorable and added a personal touch to an already wonderful holiday.nnKaren is a credit to Glasgow Tigers Speedway and an outstanding ambassador for the sport. What a fantastic racetrack. The staff were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere throughout the meeting.nnThere are good facilities and a couple of food outlets.
This was my 2nd time there. I loved to be there. Kids enjoyed a lot and thanks to Peter for inviting us.nThe races were nail biting and you get goosebumps. Very nice people around and you feel welcome.
I've been watching speedway since the mid 1960s so have experienced most of the highs and lows that the sport has to offer. I've watched through the JAP, 2 valve Jawa, various 4 valve uprights and the modern lay-down engines and can honestly say that the 2025 season has, in my opinion, provided the most consistently brilliant racing that I can remember. It helps having Bomber producing impossible overtakes, of course. However, evvery member of the team fights hard for points and deserves their place. We have a good blend of youth, improving middle order riders and solid experienced riders. It would be nice and well deserved if we were to collect some silverware but, for me, the quality of the racing is most important. The Facennas are also the best promotion that I have experienced, putting heart, soul and finance where needed into the team, track and stadium. The entertainment has been fantastic - I'm already looking forward to next season even though we will be forced to lose some of the team as always.
