Recently purchased carpets for 4 x Bedroooms from Perth store, had a small query that was taken care of with ease and no fuss. Carpets were later fitted by their own fitters who were fantastic, whole job and experience was very good. We then visited the Broughty Ferry store to look at Sofas and placed an order, Great service, Salesman Craig was very genuine, met the manager who was courteous and sincere, need to wait a few weeks to get the sofa which is understandable. Prev reviews harsh .... give the high street and private company's a break... we don't need any more takeaways or derelict empty shops ! Thanks Gillies 👍

Bought a leather suite and before even a year the leather started to come off. Complained and was told “they edges of cushions are not for sitting on only the middles”. After a good few more letters of complaint Gillies agreed to send a workman out to spray/recolour the worn areas, blaming medication in people’s systems for the leather peeling! The spraying took place but soon peeled off again. Was told by Gillies to contact the Furniture Ombudsman. Very funny that A’s was advised by them Gillies were not on their panel therefore they couldn’t assist me with my complaint. Over £2k down the drain. Such a waste of money I was left by my late grandmother. Avoid Gillies at all costs. They have absolutely no interest in their customers. The man who sprayed my Suite actually admitted “the suites we sell come out of exact same factory abroad that all leather suites come from but we sell them for a much more” (his exact words). I’m sorry I ever stepped door in Gillies. I won’t again and will make sure I pass my experience to anyone who even thinks about it.

Bought a stand for my pots in the kitchen, box was all taped up when the girl brought it to the till but said everything was checked and ok.....got home and screws were missing so I now have to go back with it.... Not good enough

Terrible. I bought a suite 10 months ago. I was not happy when delivered with suite as felt it was of different quality of one I choose in shop. I was assured it was same quality and imperfections would correct themslves. I once more complained this time about middle of 3 seater couch leather was actually coming off in little bits.backs on suite were falling in at corners and back still had line and indentation Along right side of 2 seater Chair has corner padding collapsing in and chair is not level . I was informed today I have to puff up suite It's not a floppy leather but very firm Leather suit. The coating rubbing of due to body oils and wrong cleaning We only use the cleaning product they advised and supplie. They will not replace suite but will recoat suite just to happen again. I was told at point of sale this was leather of high quality and was even told grade of leather.which I have forgotten . The suite seemed a lot heavier in shop too. The one we got is much lighter. I have complained to trading standereds,wrote to rip off Britain and been in touch with papers to help, Also put complaint on Facebook and about to on twitter. These shops need named and shamed For missselling goods
