I've been a client at George's Allandale Road for more than twelve years. I have Pixie and she is an amazing stylist and colour expert - I have highlights and she always manages to get the colour close to the roots and the regrowth is always very natural looking. Lockdown was testament to this as it grew out quite nicely and I didn't need to try and do a DIY job on it - thank goodness! Pixie totally understands me as a client and will never do anything that I am unsure about - but equally is great at recommending what would suit - I've recently gone from long hair to a short choppy bob and love it. I've got quite thick hair but Pixie has cut it in a way to give it a straight choppy look - there's probably a fancy hairdressing term for this! The guys and girls that wash my hair are fab - I've never had a bad experience at the sink - I always get a lovely massage at the conditioning stage it's my favourite part! All the staff are friendly and accommodating and the toilets are always clean! I usually park on a side road and walk the few minutes across the road - it's no problem and it's free! I love my morning of pampering at George's - I get to read my book, drink copious amounts of coffee and chat to a lovely lady who always has a smile on her face

An excellent and a professional service from start to finish. A special thank you to Pixie who cut and styled my hair to perfection. She was very enthusiastic with great ideas and advised me what style and length would be best suited. Thank you very much. I have been coming to Georges for many years to have my hair coloured, cut and styled by Cara. Cara is a magician! She’s achieved any look I’ve ever desired and she’s such a fun person to spend all the hours having my hair done with. I’m always pampered at Georges and leave feeling incredible! I would recommend Cara and always do to everyone who asks - I’ve been stopped in the street/ at coffee shops many times with people asking where I get my hair done! to anyone. I moved away from Leicester ten years ago and still return to get my hair done by Cara!

I have visited this Salon twice and I feel uncomfortable and out of place. The staff i have dealt with on the two occasions haven’t made me feel at ease, comfortable and I felt unimportant. Visited Barrie Stephens yesterday on King St and it was a whole different experience and atmosphere. The care, attention and detail they paid to me and my hair was exceptional. The friendliness was genuine and the staff there made me feel very welcome. Will not visit George’s again.Services:&nbsp;Hairstyling

Myself and my children have been regular customers of George’s for many many years and pretty much had our hair cut with Jodie for most of that time. She’s the best stylist, colourist and the most friendly, kind and attentive hairdresser I’ve ever been to! I’ve had a really bad customer service experience here. The manager booked me an appointment based on what I described I wanted for my hair and when I got there, I was told they didn't have enough time for what i wanted doing. They insisted that i have a full balayage, when i just wanted a refresh as i explained that i already had a full balayage some months ago- so i was asked to pay for the whole thing again that would have cost me the same when i did a full balayage with a more experienced stylist. My hair has hardly grown, so it is around 2 inches that they had to balayage to blend in with the older balayage. In addition, as i wanted a darker tone, they would need to use hardly no bleach. The prices online do not match the prices they told me, and the manager said the price they are quoting me is their changed price !! i am really shocked that they couldn't honour a better price due to my bad experience and a wasted journey !! it disappointing that a professional solon does not have professional customer service !!

Hi, I came in today and unfortunately I didn't have the greatest experience. I won't be choosing that particular stylist again. My family have been coming to you for years and we've been really pleased with the service. Whilst having my hair washed, quite poorly I have to say, I had to  listen to two young employees of the salon complaining  how demanding a customer had been. Very unprofessional in front of another customer. I asked the stylist to take 2 inches off my hair- she proceeded to take half an inch off and ask if that was enough and this went on for a while. At the end of the haircut and style she asked if I wanted hair spray,  I said yes please, to which she replied she didn't have any at her station and she said nevermind she would meet me at reception to pay. I asked her to frame my hair around my face which wasn't done very well and very quickly-  she wouldn't thin my hair at the side because she said it was already thin. It's still quite bulky.

Cara was amazing at my wedding hair. I was so worried as I have thin hair but I felt so confident on the day she introduced me to hair extensions and my hair looked so full and I felt like a true bride. She is so talented and brought my vision to life . She also made me feel so comfortable thanks so much xxxServices:&nbsp;Bridal hair

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but service has gone really down hill and did not enjoy my haircut. The hairdresser was up and down to another client. Barley had a conversation which made the haircut awkward. I have always come here for years but will be going else-wear. Sold the wrong shampoo too realised when I got home was not suitable for my hair and made my hair even more greasy.

All Hail Queen Jodie! Master of the scissor! Edward Scissorhands who? I was paired with Jodie from the start of her journey at Georges and I have never looked back! She is now the only hairdresser for my sister and best friend too! All the hairdressers at Georges are amazing! However once you find your penguin, you know!Service:&nbsp;Hairstyling
