We have bought our last three suites from here. The service from staff who know the trade very well is excellent, and the quality of furnishings are good. Their price ranges meet most suppliers as they provide best price promise. Would recommend highly. PS made up to see them still using a written ledger for orders, some things should never change for the sake of progress!
Found exactly what we were looking for, brands, quality and very reasonable prices, if not the cheapest. Delivery times from manufacturer were to the day and no delays in delivering to the house. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, kept us informed throughout the process. Nothing a problem. Staff who delivered our furniture were again very friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. Will recommend the store to all my friends and family
We just bought a new suite and found the staff extremely helpful and patient, allowing us all the time we needed to make our decision. Very competitive price and fast delivery by very careful and courteous team. Have already recommend them to our friends, and would definitely use them again.
As always, excellent service from experienced sales staff, not pushy but on hand with information and assistance when needed. The delivery staff were very helpful and pleasant ; they assembled the bed and took away all of the packaging. Would always make this my first stop for furniture and have recommended George F. Knowles Ltd to friends and family.
Fab price on Sealy Which best buy bed and great service. The delivery guys were brilliant. Assembled the bed and attached the headboard even though I'd bought it elsewhere. They also took all the packaging away. Highly recommended.
Wonderful old fashioned service from an established firm. We've used Knowles for over 30 years on tables, sofas and mattresses and they have always provided first class service at extremely reasonable prices. What I'd recommend any local persons do is if you've a piece of furniture in mind then give Knowles a call and ask if they could beat the price. It's only a cheap call and it might save you a lot.
Once inside the Victorian warehouse, you are greeted by three floors of good quality furniture, some different makes and styles to the 'run of the mill' stuff in all the big outlets. In addition, you get a salesman who is not pushing, but really knows his stuff about what he is selling. Prices are honest without the ridiculous 'so called discounts' prevalent in most of the big retailers. All in all, a thoroughly good experience and I would highly recommend this company! And no I don't work for them.
I would not shop anywhere else for furniture. The range is excellent aswell as the prices. The staff are superb and so polite, friendly and helpful. It is a pleasure to shop at Knowles. They even put a sofa I liked on the van to see if it would fit through my front door before I placed the order - they really do go the extra mile.
We are very pleased with our recent purchases including a very comfy Wade sofa and chairs and a fantastic picture. The staff are very professional, friendly without being pushy and the delivery was made as scheduled. Large stock of quality furniture on display on three floors of their St Anne Street warehouse. Experienced staff on hand to give guidance and help when needed. We have bought our furniture here for something like twenty years at most competitive prices and have never been disappointed with the service given from sale to delivery, our latest purchase being a three piece suite a few weeks ago. Parking is at a premium in the surrounding area so it is advisable to visit early if you wish to park in the immediate vicinity.
