Traditional old pub, quite small, old style decor, comfortable. Usually 2 or 3 real ales on tap. Good selection of other drinks. Friendly, efficient staff who enforce a strict " no swearing" policy. You have been warned.
Warm friendly bar staff. Great real ales that are always crisp and fresh, one of the few places you can reliably expect a good pint. Well worth a visit for a quiet pint
I went to this bar on the recommendation of locals after a whisky show in Ayr, we had said nothing, merely entered the bar to be told by a quite unreasonable lady that we were not welcome. My friend was wearing an Ireland rugby shirt and we are all English. I can only assume this was a racist reaction. If you are from south of the border avoid it!!!
