Like stepping back in time 50 years! No atmosphere at all and no electrical devices allowed unless you’re using them to pay . Beer was cheap and alright. Much better pubs nearby.Service: 3/5
So we stumbled across this little pub after a busy day. When we entered its very dated but bloody amazing. Everywhere you looked it said "no tablets, no mobiles" it was a detox pub from electronics and social media! Brilliant! We felt we were looked at as not from the area, but a chap walked in on his mobile, got told to get off his phone, he laughted- thought they were all taking the mickey, then realised everyone was serious then he left! Service was quick & polite. Not the biggest of bars but I did notice there were stairs to other areas. I didn't get my phone out to take any photos for obvious reasons lol
The general Elliott leeds is a Sam Smiths pub with 2 bars 1 down stairs and 1 upstairs I went downstairs but I've been in the upstairs bar before. Downstairs is small and can get quite compact when busy it wasn't too busy when I went in. Theve got a wide selection of drinks on offer bit expensive for Sam Smiths but still a good drink no music or mobile phones allowed. I go in regular and it's decent. I prefer the upstairs bar more room and seating
Called in on our way back to the hotel to rest our feet. Nice choice of drinks at a good price too. There is a no phone policy but to be honest it was good and I see why, we ended up talking to a couple of locals for the half hour we spent there. A chap came in and his phone came out he was asked straight away to put it down the concept works and why not spend a bit of time to talk to people. We'll call in again when we're passing
Bar woman working today at 3pm is the rudest person I've ever come across in my life. No wonder nobody goes in the place. I understand you can't use your phone but I didn't know that and the way she spoke to me was rude. Then thought I would pay for my pint after getting a lecture no way. Rude horrible woman. Take my advise get new bar staff.
Not everyone’s cup of tea but personally I love it, staff and other drinkers easy to talk to, and the beer is cheap. What more could you ask forFood: 5/5
What a dive bar. Avoid at all cost. There is a no phone policy However no one bothered with it and even the bar staff use their phones. The place is filthy and it smells really bad. The bar staff didn't know what IPA was even though it was in their fridge. The music was not that loud but some good mix of music. Very cheap beer but I would rather pay a little more for some quality staff
First time drinking here. Beer was cost effective and went down a treat. Surprised by the no phone policy but didn't phase us. But an all round friendly place. And found it humourus that in the space of an hour being there was offered all various kinds of knock off gear by a regular influx of what was obviously drug addicts in and out the place. But still enjoyed ourselves
Great atmosphere and Sam Smiths Stout is probably the best Stout ever
Another typical Sam Smith's pub, 2.30 a pint of stout. No WiFi. The atmosphere is nicer in the Angel Inn.
