This coffee is the best!!!! As if the coffee wasn't awesome in itself, the service and smile by the staff is just so uplifting. Perfect to pop in and grab whilst your wandering round the city or they do have some seating inside to have a restful cuppa. Highly recommended
Hands down my favorite coffee shop in York...a must visit. Friendly owner and staff, excellent coffee...AND it's in an old gate house...part of the actual city walls of York. The atmosphere and unique setting can't be beat. You'll actually go right by here if you're walking the city walls, so it's a convenient stop.

Quite the place to have an excellent coffee along with great cakes,etc on top of the most Otho al gate on the wall of York, set in an Elizabethan Guard House. What a find!
Really quirky café with excellent coffee and a friendly atmosphere. The location within the walls is just amazing and feels like a well kept secret; the sit-down areas are on the outside of the walls. Excellent business, highly recommended - I always pop here for a coffee when I'm passing.
This is one of the most unique and inspiring coffee shops in England. An absolute must stop, see and drink coffee or have some delicious food!
