I’ve been lucky enough to stay in a lot of fabulous places & Garleton Lodge is right up there in the absolute favourites. We stayed for two nights enjoying spa treatments & a delicious grazing board on the first day & more wonderful treatments, a dip in the hot tub & an incredible 7 course tasting menu on the 2nd. Angela & David are such welcoming & friendly hosts - they really couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were spotless, spacious, well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches & the beds & bed linen were incredibly comfortable. You can always tell when care has been taken to ensure comfort & it certainly has been here. The spa is is fabulous addition & there’s a wide selection of Dermalogica treatments to choose from. All the food was beautifully presented & generous. The views from the dining room are spectacular. Such a wonderful place to spend a couple of days. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Absolutely top notch!
Walking into the lodge I could feel the comfort and hospitality wrap around me like a warm blanket. There was nothing pretentious, just a feeling of being welcomed into a facility where excellent conversation, food, and accommodations were intended to make one feel at home. The views from the hill were stunning as trains streamed by and birds filled the skies. My brother and I were there to play golf at one of the 21 local courses but we both plan on being back to enjoy this lodge with our wives.
What a fantastic place! We had a very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable time. Excellent facilities and delicious, plentiful food. David and Angela really know how to look after their customers. The room was well equipped and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the huge bed. Great shower with very pleasant locally produced toiletries. A very peaceful countryside location but only a few minutes drive from local towns. Lots of easy, beautiful walks in the area. The views from the hotel are superb. Amazing sunsets looking up the Forth to the famous bridges. We will definitely be returning.
We had a fantastic weekend away at Garleton Lodge. Booked at short notice we didn't know what to expect but it lived up to everything you would want from a quiet weekend away. From the moment we arrived the hosts Angela and David couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The room was perfect and had everything we needed, the outdoor space was fantastic, so much so you really don't need to leave. We made great use of the hot tub and the views are just stunning !. The food was to die for using the freshest of ingredients with the bread that came with dinner a particular highlight !. A brilliant base to cover the surrounding countryside and we will definitely be back soon.
We planned to hold our Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration here. It was 2 1/2 years in the planning so affected by Covid. Great patience! An absolutely fantastic event that went so so well. Fabulous rooms for everyone with great food and drink and the very attentive hosts - David and Angela. A very very memorable family event with a big thank you from everyone who attended.
I felt very spoiled from the minute I arrived at Garleton Lodge. David and Angela are great hosts and so welcoming. The views across the Firth of Forth are stunning...and is so peaceful, just the spot to recharge and relax. Great room, fab shower! Lovely food. The hot tub and spa are a great bonus. I really enjoyed my stay
Family friendly atmosphere welcoming N staff can't do enough. it's deffo a hidden gem /secret spa for the ladys when the men golf !!! ask about the fantastic sharing platers or spa treatments !! Thank me later xxRooms: 5/5
David & Angela are excellent hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. A fantastic week of golf arranged by David drawing on his knowledge of the local courses. Delicious food from Angela’s kitchen accompanied by a very interesting and eclectic wine list. I cannot recommend Garleton Lodge highly enough and look forward to a return for more great golf and hospitality!
What can I say about this wonderful venue. My husband's birthday was certainly celebrated in style. From the minute we walked in the door, Angela and David made us feel so welcome. The spacious bedrooms and suites are tastefully decorated, each named after a different malt. There is a lovely wee decanter of that malt plus some of Angela's shortbread in each room. The views are spectacular from every window, in particular the dining room. When our 12 guests arrived we were served bubbly in the bar. The dining room was set up with a massive circular table which we loved and the 3 course meal Angela made for us was delicious. We spent several hours in the large BBQ hut and hot tub after dinner which was great fun. Breakfast was also fantastic with loads of choices. The beds are huge and everyone commented on how well they slept. I would recommend this venue to anyone as Angela and David would be able to work their magic and make it "just right" for you.
A wonderful setting, we especially enjoyed the fantastic views out to sea at sunset over dinner, as well as Angela’s delicious and elaborate cooking. The massage was very good, and the bedrooms large with very comfortable beds. Thank you both.Rooms: 5/5
