Barely 2-minutes walk from Gants Hill Station, this library has basic facilities, EXCEPT a restroom! For some reason, this is permanently out of order, so one has to use the public read smelly public toilets at the station. It's a really small library. The entire study area is pictured here. It can take only about 10-15 people during these social distance times. There are 8 PCs for registered users the library is free. All in all, it's a good enough place to get some work done, but don't expect any facilities or equipment.
I didn't feel comfortable in this place, people who come are like Eagles, trying to take your computer, the staff are kinda rude too, wanting you to follow a lot of rules too but they don't even have a toilet working. Not a nice place to concentrate
Best place to read books and spend me time, also great place for kids.
Library is very god place, staff is cooperative. He plce makes you read
Decent range of books but not very helpful staff. Never busy but charge a lot extra for non returned books. Computers here don’t work properly. Ilford library has much better choice and selection of books
Little library, public car park next to it. Reasonable selection but if you can't find what you want they will order it for you. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
Good to use. Lot of books are available.
This is a fantastic library. Just the right size and now with access to a network of other libraries you can order in any book that you like from across London. There is a room with many desks for students to study and read. I can't recommend highly enough.
This library used to be good. But now there is very limited books, some subjects not even covered. It's quite empty and out of date.
A truely horrible experience! I have just joined the library to get the kids reading and get them excited about going to a library and choosing books. When returning the children's books which were late coming back I was confronted by the staff there saying you have a fine, now, no other borough I know of charges for kids books being late, also that this was not explained to me when I joined, still it's our first time borrowing books and first time they were late, but the attitude and hostility we received at that library was unbelievable, I was having this conversation with three members of staff that stood arguing with me in front of the children, who were looking forward to taking park in the book club challenge. I was being spoken to by three people. My son looked at me while I was being ganged up by the staff there. Extremely rude man at the front desk who doesn't even smile at the kids, no please or thank you, the manager there has no authority over her staffs behaviour. They have truely ruined the experience for my children to take books out.
