A local landmark located at a busy traffic intersection designed by Frederick Gibberd, opened in 1968 and Grade II Listed: a building of National interest. And I wouldn’t doubt it. A distinctive shallow conical dome copper roof “clutching” • a range of semi-arched windows settled on • a squat, concrete single-storied rotunda, • studded with a battery of narrow rectangular windows. These inelegant and lumbering words fail to convey my unanticipated delight on first encountering this building. The effect is startling. The building extraordinary.
There is a children's Library here. Best place to boost reading habits in young minds. The well trained staff will look after and guide your children. They can choose and select whichever book that attracts them. There are lots of free and paid kids activities, catering to every age group. The environment is kid safe and there is plenty of supervision at all times. Our grandchildren enjoy every visit to the library, would highly recommend to everyone.
What an exciting place to choose books and reignite your reading appetite. Kudos to all the staff especially Mina and the manager not sure whether his name is William. The staff members are super friendly and well trained. I think it is the best children and adult library. Well done

It's nice to know that despite all the belt-tightening we're having to go through presently, this facility is still available to serve the local community. Long may it last!
Went to our ilford horticultural society meeting there had a lovely time with our speaker and members. A good place to find out what's going on wonderful notice boards in the foyer letting all know what's going on and different clubs to join. Do try going there.
There's a pretty good selection of books. More graphic novels and comics than our local. Staff though, eeeesh, having a go because a toddler is being loud? In a children's area? Mean ol' witch , frankly.
Good crime fiction section and has a wide variety of other areas of interest. Also has a child's section, Internet access, daily papers and is a very cheap place for photocopying although only cards taken. Machine based check in and out for books but the staff are friendly and will help.

Nice small library. However would have appreciated it if the early and late opening hours were still maintained as before. Now the library opens later and closes earlier..
