"Ganesha is run by owner Mayur Renukdas and his wife. The couple had never run a restaurant before and were keeping down full-time day jobs when they weren't putting in some serious hours in the restaurant.Mayur and Gauri come from Pune, which is one of the most popular Indian cities. Both are very keen to point out that the food they specialise in is very different from the standard bog style of cooking found in the most common Bangladeshi or Pakistani restaurants. It's a family-run venture offering authentic Indian cuisine from all corners of the subcontinent via a menu that's a million miles away from your average curry house."

We just had dinner at Ganesha, and it has been an amazing experience! We had some vegetarian starters, as well as a lamb and a prawn curry. The lamb was super tender, flavorful and spicy, whilst the prawn curry was creamy and delicious. The tandoori roti was super tasty too! The service was very friendly, and the music great. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have delicious food and a great experience overall! You must try it yourself.
First time in Bristol and so glad we chose Ganesha for our Saturday night meal! When they say authentic Indian restaurant they are not lying! Amazing happy staff and hats off to the chef! Keep up the excellent work! See you again very soon!
Really disappointed with this place. Used to be good but gets worse and worse. Ordered a takeaway. The king prawns for £12 had 4 tiny prawns! They sent the wrong rice. Virtually no paneer in the other dish. We have been loyal customers for years and this will be our last order.
We went to Ganesha twice in our two week stay in Bristol and everything was perfect. I had the Paneer Tikka Masala & Butter Masala the second time. My hubby is a Chicken Biryani fan and had it twice. Everything was extremely well done, seasoned, fairly priced, and some of the best Indian food we've had. The owner was very nice and checked in on us both times we visited. He also mentioned they have a new chef. We would definitely be regulars if we lived in the area, highly recommend!
I was searching for indian food in Bristol and then found this restaurant on my wife's recommendation. I enjoyed the food here, good taste with light bollywood music. The owner of the restaurant is polite and humble.Food: 5/5
The food was incredible. We had such a lovely waiter that had only been doing it for a few months but was so attentive. Would 100% recommend, they had lots of interesting dishes to try and we loved all of them. We will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Good veggie options
Looooved this place! We opted for classic curries and were not disappointed. The waiter told us the curries were mild, so we asked to spice them a bit. Delicious and well priced! Sorry- we loved it so much we forgot to take a photo before eating the meal
Trust me, don't go here. The service wasn't the best. Incorrect rice was given, also the wrong curry to one other person. I ordered the lamb jalfrezi. There was no real flavour to this and no heat at all. Very bland curry if you could call it that. The same can be said with the other dishes my friends ordered. Definitely won't go here again.
The place is very impressive. Pictures on the internet are the same as the place in actual. Ambiance is goodFood: 5/5
Excellent meal. Aloo saag is particuarly good, and the lamb curries. I tried two with my partner tonight, really good!
