Delicious food experience here if you want something good and wholesome on the go. Salmon avocado yoghurt thing = 4.5/5 absolutely delicious, would give it a 5/5 if it was slightly warmer Blueberry custard brioche = 5/5 Absolutely juicy and delicious. Just the right amount of sweet and excellent soft fresh texture with just the right amount of bite. Espresso = 5/5
Take-away the way-to-go here. A limited footprint exploits every nook and cranny with little in the way of customer comfort, elbow space, nor ambience. Notwithstanding the space constraints an impressive array of the usual pastries, cakes and lite bites. Coffee betters the average. Service reticent and impassively efficient.
Great coffee and pastries but their customer service can definitely improve. First time I was here, I got the spinach feta and the pork sausage rolls. Both were great and service was decent. Second time I was here, I got the asparagus crustless pie and requested it to be cut in half. The girl who worked there said she'll can't cut it in half and didn't even heat the pie. She was very rude and was clearly flustered with the long queue. The pie tasted bad and service was slow and bad.
I’m not sure what’s going on in London or if it’s google. But every place I tried to go to this weekend the hours were way off. I showed up a little after 7:30 when it said they were open at 7:00. Lady said open around 8:30-9. I don’t have the time to waste waiting around so this is the reason for one star. If you own a shop you should update your hours regularly, specially if you change them. I was told the coffee was good here but decided to go with my usual Panzers down the street. At least they open when it says on google.
Delicious coffee and bakery, but not friendly staff. Never offer chocolate on top of cappuccino. I forgot almost full my loyalty card, but lady at the till said they have a lot of cards and she knows nothing instead to offer new one.
I've been to a number of Gail's Bakery outlets and have never felt so let down. It was 17 June 18. The tables were full of left over dirty dishes and crockery from earlier customers. When the waitress came with the plates, she expected we would move the dirty stuff. We asked for a cheese stick and a spinach roll, and while it appeared they were put through the grill machine, both items arrived cold. We also asked for two oat milk cafe lattes which both came over 100 degrees hot, therefore the coffee being pretty much tasteless. The picture attached shows how dirty the porcelain saucer under my coffee cup is. Won't be coming back soon. Very disappointed.
The bread at Gail’s is great, but my true love is devoted to their amazingly wide range of pastries, sandwiches and tasty salted delicacies from the counter. Everything looks delicious and your eyes don’t lie when you taste it. The ambiance is really tight, crowded and forget about comfort, but once in a while worth the effort. It’s a shame that the prices are so high, even for St. John’s Wood standards. Try the takeaway option as the prices are cheaper.
Loved the cozy atmosphere and the smile from all the workers. Prices are reasonable. Big variety of many delicious baked goods. Also tried the latte and tasted good. I liked the free water jugs and classes available for the costumers.
This is a small branch but quite cosy! Great coffee, fantastic location, friendly staff. I would go back, especially on a sunny day!
Today Sunday and the shop close at 7:30pm, but the stopped serving coffee before 7pm, I don't understand why they said we close 7:30 pm and they closed the coffee machine before 7pm what kind of coffee shop do like this.
