Best sausages and haslet I've ever tasted, they're that good I travel from Leicester which is 120 mile round trip but definitely worth it.

We use this butchers all the time, all year round and have never complained or had a problem with anything we buy. The meat is never filled with water to make it look bigger than it actually is (like supermarkets do), and there is always a big selection on offer - even if it's not on display they may have it in a storeroom or deepfreeze.
The joints of meat are of restaurant quality, fillets of chicken are enormous, sausages and chipolatas are great, and the bacon is thick enough for a decent manwich and tastes excellent!
The butchers will prepare anything you ask them for and cut meat to the exact size you'll need. They also sell a variety of burgers, pasties, sausage rolls, cheeses, and lots more.

I used to be a regular customer here, but became disillusioned with the meat quality that I was given.
Five times I have got home only to find the meat I have been sold is green, slimey and rotten and fit only for the bin, which is where it ended up.
The last time was lamb. The meat was off and stank. Before that bacon. When I opened it up for a bacon sandwich the very next morning after it had been placed straight in the fridge on arrival back at home, it was grey/green colour and slimey.
The time before that was a chicken bought on a Friday for Sunday Lunch. It was green inside and smelt bad.
Now I only live no more than 5 minutes away by car from the shop so the meat is not spending hours out of the fridge.
I see customers who place large orders being served tasty, good quality meat, maybe because I live alone and don't buy such large amounts that I was given the dross.
I'm very disappointed that this hidden gem I had found turned out to be such a lottery on quality and what you were given.
