Had a fish supper meal with mushy peas. Both the fish and chips had a nice taste. Reasonably priced. There are bar stools for eating inside. Parking: Free parking in the evening.
Utter scam artists! They offer what they call a 'large supreme haddock', but it is nothing more than their regular fish just elongated to give the illusion that you're getting a larger fish. Really you are just getting the same regular fish, but paying an EXTRA £3.50 to be scammed. You'd think this would've been outlawed by now. I questioned the guy behind the counter and he basically shrugged his shoulders and said what can he do about it. Of cousre by then he had already taken my money by card. Avoid!
Fish and chips was excellent however the guy who answered my call had no enthuisiam at all, was so off putting for me no please or thank you, same when i went in the shop the guy was not even talkitive. Im sure saying please or thank you would be the first priority for customer service The foods really good but if u sort the guy at the till then your business will increase massivly
Best Traditional Fish & Chips in Glasgow, Its All Cooked Fresh for the Customer on Order. All Menu is Halal. Fry in Vegetable Palm Oil . All Fish is sustainably sourced Fresh Fish from the North Sea.
Guy behind counter doesn't know what he's doing told him my order about 5 times, he even had a power nap while the other guy cooked my food. Counter guy using his hands to serve the food touching everything with no gloves after touching his nose. The cook was too busy chatting to his other customer or pal that he over cooked all my food. When getting the order the counter guy forgot half my order after waking up from his power nap, again having to repeatedly check my order. Payed extra for the supposedly large premium fish and there was nothing large or premium about it. Batter was thick and overdone. Chips were brown all overdone. Asked for lots of salt n vinegar n there was hardly anything on them. Definitely wouldn't recommend n definitely won't be coming back. Waste of time and money.
Fish was quality. Proper flaky haddock and a good size. Tasted delicious. Chips were good but could do with a little bit more. Service on the other hand was slow that's coz they make the fish fresh at time of order however on some occasions when I've ordered on the phone and arrived to pick up they haven’t even started cooking it! Making it fresh is a strong selling point however they should have a couple already made as not everyone can wait. Was once told he was changing the oil but why then tell me to come in 15 mins. Anyway gave the food 5 stars as the fish is one of the best I've had in Glasgow. I haven't though tried any other of their products apart from the fish.
Got hopelessly lost in Glasgow and were cold and hungry. Spotted the sign and thought we'd give it a go. Boy am I glad we did. Went for the £9.95 special....battered haddock chips a Mortons roll plus a drink. Stone cold bargain. The food was cooked to order and took a while but the shop was busy plus they were dealing with the Justeat orders too. Very generous portion piping hot and everything was just gorgeous. Owner and I'm assuming his son were extremely polite and apologised for the delays. Only minor gripes were that we had to remind them about the rolls and drinks and my batter erred towards overcooked but still thoroughly enjoyed the food. The haddock was fresh tasted delicious and proper chippy chips. Other customers had the masala haddock which I would love to try in future. The owner is so polite patient and his sons a credit to him. Great value for money and we made chip butties with the roll. Stuff pretentious food....this is real fill your boots grub.
Really delicious fish and chips I don’t even like fish ‍ and steak pie was also great! Plus it was really cheap, fast and freshly made and the staff was nice and helpful. Will be back
