Story

Leeds’ award-winning Charcuterie & Bar Friends of Ham mixes four of the greatest pleasures in life: meat, cheese, beer and wine. You will always receive a warm welcome, whether you choose to sit in the tiny upstairs bar lazing an afternoon away over a drink watching the ham carvers at work or catching up with friends on the sofas in the cosy candle-lit basement.

Friends of Ham promotes quality and sources everything it sells carefully from British micro-brewery beers to one-off brews, from local charcuterie to some of the finest meats Italy produces, from big name world class wines to Eastern European wonders, sherries to shatter your perceptions of the ‘Granny’ drink along with a plethora of incredibly mouthwatering cheeses from France, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland and the UK.

Love a charcuterie board with cheese and pickles and here provides every thing you need. Aswell as have a great selection of craft beers. We shared quite a few mixed plates and all fantastic. Would definitely recommend and will be going again. All staff were very friendly and helpful
Don’t be deterred by the ongoing block paving outside - I’m sure it’ll be worth it when it’s finally finished. Only have the one cask on tonight but there’s always some interesting Craft choices - the Verdant Sundialer is a spot on Pale Ale - it comes in schooners as well Service: 5/5
Very close to the station and hosting some really good food and drink, this little place is always a stop for me. The food is, as you'd expect given the name, based on porcine ingredients and is varied, interesting and beautifully made; it's not cheap, but if you want cheap food go elsewhere, this is priced for quality and taste. Likewise the beer range is extensive, mainly but not only local craft beers, and there's always something interesting on tap. Again, it's priced realistically, there's plenty of places for cheap beer but here it's the range and quality you pay for. Staff are great, and it's just an all-round excellent little place which I've a big soft spot for, it's well good!
We stopped in with friends and loved our food. Each dish was delicious and expertly prepared. We tried eight items in total. Some excellent beer was on draft too. Conveniently located and highly recommended after our meal.

A fantastic place to eat and drink. We ordered too much but finished everything, it was too good to leave. The selection of beers and wines was worth a visit in itself. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.. Well worth a visit.Food: 5/5
Great little bar, close to the station. You must drink the 'Carajillo', it's a special drink for those whom like an espresso martini
For a quick lunch or an extensive brunch with all your friends, this is the place. Fancy later hours, check the downstairs area. This place leaves nothing behind and does all on a level that has you wanting nothing more.Food: 5/5
A wonderful lunch on a hot day! A good selection of mainly local beers and an amazing selection of really top quality charcuterie and cheese. It’s a really nice space, friendly efficient and helpful staff. Dog friendly & child friendly. Highly recommended.
Often stop in here for a drink before getting the train. It's a lovely atmosphere and they do a range of good beers and wines. I've had the deli boards here and they are extremely good too. One of my favourite bars in Leeds so would definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
