I purchased a defender from Quirke Street in 2021 and after quite a few problems with it, I took it to a 4x4 specialist locally who confirmed it was unsafe to drive and that the MOT should not have been passed by Quirke Street. I drove it back twice to Quirke Street from West Wales, 370 mile round trips x 2 and no work was carried out as the problems raised continued. As a final request, we asked that our specialist simply make the vehicle road safe at their cost but they decided it would be cheaper to pick it up, refund me and sell it on to another poor person to deal with. The overall experience was quite upsetting and stressful. My father has always had defenders and I was completely prepared for the upkeep and bought it in good faith that it was coming from a defender specialist and that it would be mechanically safe. When it was picked up, my husband was told that i should have bought a Evoque very patronising!. It would appear that although they claim to be a Land Rover specialist that they actually have no idea how to repair one! I wouldn’t trust or rely on these people, they really did not care! By the time I drove it all that way and paid for various garages to look at it, I was really out of pocket! Don’t trust them
